Worth every penny

$20 is a lot for a drain plug, sure (especially when you aren't guaranteed what color you will get). However, I think this thing is almost necessary to have on a bike. Not only does it keep some of the metal in your sump from going into your engine, it's also a great indicator if you have something wrong. I only get extremely small particles (which is normal wear), but this plug can help you catch issues before they become critical, like if you started seeing shaving or small chunks on the plug.
I'm not crazy about having a red bolt on my WR250F, but on most other bikes you won't be able to see the plug anyway.
I plan to buy one of these for every bike that I ever own.

Good drain plug

Fit was very good, seems to work as it should. Feel like it is a little pricey otherwise would have rated higher. Also, you may not get the color in the photo. Blue plug shown received a red plug.

TM Designworks Magnetic Drain Plug

Good looking piece, but I received a plain metallic color one, not the blue one pictured. Still good thing to have a magnetic in the "oil pan"

Nice drain plug

Replaced the OE non-magnetic drain plug in my 2003 Wr 450 Yamaha. Plug looks well made and has a very strong magnet that has a large surface area to collect metal trash in the oil, its also priced less than competitive alloy magnetic plugs.
Plug is shown in blue and the one I received was red. I could care less but just a heads up. Great item that adds an ounce of prevention.

Works as advertised.

What else is there to say? The plug I had on my KX250 when I bought it was a hardware store cast iron bolt. This should help save some wear and tear.

It has a magnet

The product works as described. Like other reviewers, I had my blue plug show up red. It will fit a honda or yamaha, it works, and is hidden by a skid plate, but it still isn't the color I ordered.

Very good quality product.

I actually ordered the BLUE plug, but waited a week only to recieve a RED plug? I ordered blue because it seemed that it would match my Yamaha, but red will do, I'm not in the mood to wait for a color change replacement to take another week to ship, but however, the plug is quality, the red even is a decent looking finish, and it paid it self off on the first application. I removed the plug just to see what it grabbed...lots of shavings I missed, outstanding! Just a gripe, I was sent a red drain plug and an orange T.M. Designworks Decal for a Blue Yamaha....Blue and blue would have been a no brainer, but definetly worth the price, the magnet is STRONG, it picked up a 3/4" combination wrench with it. How strong does it need to be to grab and hold metal shavings right?

If your atv your bike doesn't have a magnetic drain plugs get 1! The drain plug did it's job on the first oil change. It caught metal shavings that may or may not have came out my oil change. Another must have!

A: This item would not fit your 2014 Honda Recon. I would have to recommend you order the OEM Oil filler cap for that model.

according sizes it should, but for some reason yours web site refuse to understand it

A: TM Designworks does not list this working for the Honda CRF50F. It is more than likely because there is not enough clearance inside your engine for the extra length of the magnet.

A: unfortunately the colors will vary, they could be red, blue, or silver. I guess the bright side is if you get the color your not expecting at least the plug is on the underside and normally out of view.
