Sato Racing is a boutique manufacturer of unique specialty parts for sport bikes, with an emphasis on track-developed parts designed for race bikes, such as lightweight Rear Sets, Delrin-based Frame and Axle Sliders, and carbon fiber engine covers and structural parts, all designed and manufactured at their state-of-the-art production facility in Osaka, Japan. The in-house design and limited production scale helps give Sato Racing's parts a high-quality handcrafted feel, and allows them the flexibility to develop parts for relatively rare bike models that larger aftermarket parts makers tend to overlook.
Frame Sliders feature slider pucks carved from Delrin plastic for maximum protection of the engine, fairings and other exposed parts.
Delrin is a hard, low-friction, abrasion-resistant material, and that makes it ideal for protecting your bike if you slide it on the track.
Uses anodized billet aluminum spacers and brackets and chrome molybdenum bolts.
No fairing modification needed to install (except where noted).
I dropped my bike this morning and wasnt hurt at all. Thanks to these sliders I saved almost my entire cowling plus my leg. I consider that a successful disadvantage. I would definitely recommend these sliders.

Sliders that do not seem to fit
I was unable to figure out how to put these things on. I am very mechanically inclined and rarely am stumped by things like this. But these sliders came with no real instructions. I am very dissatisfied.

Maybe not for low speed drops
These are racing sliders. It might not spell it out on the site, but they are made for hitting the ground at speed. They may shatter in a low speed drop, so this might not be what you're looking for. Install is quick and easy, depending on how accessible/stuck your engine mounting bolts are (one of mine was a real bear!)

Sato Frame Sliders for RC8R
Definitely a product you never want to actually "use" but the Sato products are clearly top-shelf. Having a 2011 RC8R I had to mount the sliders in reverse from what the directions stated as there were changes on the bike from 2010 to 2011. Installation was easy and the fit and finish is outstanding.
