Good option

Bought this instead of spending a ton more on another product. Simple and easy to install. Really cleans up the bike!

Easy install

Very easy to install. The hardest part was getting inside the fairing to disconnect the wires. Didn't have a spot for little white license plate light. If your state requires it, then you mighty want to try a different one.

What a great product, installation was easy, great directions, took about 30 minutes and gets rid of that nasty stock fender....

Excellent Kit

What can I say? Ordering was easy, shipment was fast and the part is a must have for anyone looking to do away with that gawd awfull rear fender contraption. The kit has everything you will need to install onto your bike. Instructions are clear enough, the brackets are nicely made with a quality black finish. All I would suggest is to take your time. With my particular bike I had to disassemble the whole right rear side of the bike to get at the wiring (2012 ZX6R) no fault of the kit, this is more coming from a DIY'er point of view to go easy. Don't be scared to do it yourself just take your time and give yourself a couple hours to complete the installation. 'Cause in the end your gonna love the look as much as I did mine. Oh and I reused the stock signals. Just remove the rubber extension piece from the signal (as the instructions state) and they're good to go. With the extensions gone they sit on the bracket nicely and don't protrude out the sides. I think they look factory, but nicer. Should have been made this way IMO.

Great!

One of the cheapest FE that allow you to use your stock turn signals. Works great on 12 r6. Have had it for 3000 miles. I just got my integrated tailight so i just took off the turn signal holders! Looks even better now. For the price and adjustability you cant beat it!

As expected

it was as expected. i always keep the stock turns so they fit back on perfectly

I installed this part on my 08 ZX10R and and it looks really clean. The only install issues where with the bike, not the product, i.e. bolt and wire connector locations. I personally think it looks best without turn signals mounted on it, so I ordered a taillight with integrated signals. It was definetly a good buy though.

Good buy

pretty easy install, i bought this so i could still use my stock blinkers, and then in hopes of having enough money to buy an integrated tail light, so it does the job and got rid of the gaudy stock fender... something i didn't think about is that the light that lights up the license plate is not in use so if you live in a state that requires you to have it than don't say i never told you so. But the glow from my ninjas taillight lights it up pretty good. good buy for the most part

Easy install, great look

What a great change from stock. Got my '09 ZX6 last week and this was the very first mod I made. Got rid of the lame stock fender contraption and this particular eliminator kit was super easy to install. The hardest part was getting to the wiring harnesses/connectors to disconnect, but that's Kawasaki's doing, not Ride Eng. Everything that has to do with the quality of their part is top notch.

E.Z. install and looks good

E.Z. install and looks good. Best part is that I can use my stock turn signals so I can space out my purchases so money doesn't get tight. I gets the job done and looks good doing it

A: Unfortunately, Ride Engineering doesn't offer their fender eliminator kit for your bike and I am unaware of anyone that currently does.

Q: Stock license plate light and holes?
I have a 2005 Yamaha YZF-R6, will this product use the stock license plate light and is their any drilling required or can you use the stock holes? Also can you use the stock turn signals as well? Thanks for your time.

A: This is supplied with a plate illumination light. You will be able to use stock or aftermarket signals.

A: Its a plate with pre-drilled holes & it fit the license plate from Penna. You can use your old turn signals But as for the license plate lite it depends if its attached to your bike's frame. If it is you can keep it, if its part of the fender assy, you may have to get another lite to go with the new set-up.

A: Normally no but it depends on the bike.. Just to be safe side you should pick up the DEI LED Lite'n Bolts, or you can contact Ride Eng. direct to see if they do include the tail light lights: 800-805-1516
