Product Description

These new Ride Engineering triple clamps have been designed with several important goals in mind: 1) Weight - to be the same weight or lighter than stock; 2) Flex - the whole area where the bottom clamp wraps around the forks has been designed to allow the forks to flex like stock; 3) Positioning - improve the handling by offering different offsets to suit the rider's needs; 4) Construction - place the pinch bolts in the front to allow for handguard mounts:; and 5) Visibility - extend the front number plate mount to place the plate at a more aesthetic angle.

Nice clamps

Check to make sure motosport has the upper bar mount. Motosport did not stock any bar mounts at the time of my order and I had to get them from Ride Engineering. Ride Engineering only uses their bar mounts with the kits. Motosport did take care of me for the hassle! No hard feeling! Also the kit doesnt come with a top bearing.

Very nice.

Awesome looking triple clamp. Bolts right on. Only problem is that there is no fitting for the stock brake line router to thread back into.

Nice piece

Im not sure if it made my bike handle any better but it does look good. It does not come with the bar clamps or a front brake cable guide. If I had to do it again I think I would go with the RG3 clamp set.

Hello i just orded clamp set. will my standard bars mount to the clamp? or do i need to purchase bar mounts. if so will need to change my order?

It would really depend on what bike you have. Some bikes can run the stock bar mounts with the Ride Clamps and some bikes require the Ride Engineering Bar Mount.

Bar clamps?
Can I use my stock bar clamps with this triple clamp set? I'm wanting to stick with the 7/8 bars. Someone told me this set up was great on the new kx450f... Do you have any input on that? Hate to spend this much cash unless it's really going to noticeably turn better... Thanks

03 ktm 525 exc racing will these work?
I read that EXC and EXC Racing triples are different

I checked with KTM on this and according to their model listing for 2003 there was only one model KTM 525 EXC sold. So for your model year there is not a difference between the 525 EXC and 525 EXC "Racing". These triple clamps should fit your KTM perfectly.

Will the stock steering dampener still mount on these triple clamps?
Expert MotoSport Staff

Yes, there is a mounting point on the lower clamp of the Ride Engineering clamps that allows the OEM Honda Steering Dampener to mount up perfectly.

Will my Ohlins 2.1 damper work with these clamps?

This clamp will work with the Ohlins 2.1 system, you may have to purchase taller bar mounts to clear the stabilizer.

I contacted Ride Engineering on this question and this is the response I recieved: "I can only tell you that the bar mounts have a 95mm span and are 10mm forward of the stem hole on our RMZ 20mm offset clamps. It is the stabilizer company that has to know if it will fit now that you have the above information." Adrian, Ride Engineering.

Will my headlight fairing bolt onto this.?
I have a 2012 rmx450z that I smashed the the top clamp and bent the bottom and need the pair but I want to make sure my headlight and speedo will still bolt on

Unfortunately these clamps are not available for the 2012 RMX450. Since this is a non US model, we will not carry any specific parts for this bike.

Kx250f?
My kx250f 2011 is converted to a supermoto but d front is higher than a 2013 model converted to a supermoto. Will this 20mm clamp set reduce d front end height of my bike? Thx, Pai
MotoSport Staff
Over 6 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
These clamps do not reduce or increase the height of the fork. They will only modify the fork tube to steering stem distance and how far that offset will be. The only way to lower the front end is to slide the forks up in the clamps, or have the suspension internals shortened by a suspension company.

What is the best tripple clamp offset to choose if I an converting to supermoto and running a 17 inch wheel?
Can you explain the difference in offsets and what would be best to choose for a 2006 KX 450F for supermoto applications? I like the Ride engineering ones since they come in green.
MotoSport Staff
Over 10 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A higher number offset will move the front wheel out from you on the bike making turning slower. A smaller number for offset brings the wheel in closer to you and will allow for quicker steering. Too low of an offset in conjunction with how high you set your forks in the clamps can induce headshake though. Typically offset is a personal preference and there is no right or wrong. I would recommend riding your bike with the Supermoto wheels installed, and determine if you would like to change the handling of the bike from there.
