Sleeve: Starting at the center of the back of your neck, measure along the outside of your arm ending at the wrist. Your motorcycle jacket will have extra sleeve length built in. Don’t compensated for extra sleeve length, just take your actual measurements.
Chest: Measure around the broadest/fullest part of the chest/bust, 1-2 inches below the armpits. Ensure your arms are in a resting position.
Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the smallest portion of your waist.
Thigh: Take a measurement around your thigh, halfway between your waist and the center of your knee cap. On a six-foot tall man it should be approximately 10 inches above the knee.
Hand: Measure the width of your hand across your palm just below your knuckles. Do not include your thumb.
The waist on chaps is adjustable with lacing at the back and a belt in the front. In most cases, the waist can be adjusted to fit. The most important measurement is the thigh. Chaps are cut extra long. They can be hemmed to the ideal length. Before you hem, make sure to sit down, to get the desired length while on a motorcycle.
