Had doubts about going Twinring, but glad I did. Quality, and looks are on point! Have never had a completely round sprocket, but this one was very close. Not much change in tight spots. Weight was noticeable in the hand, but not enough to be concerned.

Sprocket and chain set looks great, fits great, and was super easy to order. Motosport was fast with their shipping as always!! Only ridden once since the install so I can't speak to the durability yet, but it's much beefier than my old sprocket and chain so I don't see that being an issue!!
I have 20 hours on this kit, riding sand tracks due to weather. I'll be buying the twin ring set up from now on, excellent buy...

I purchased the twin ring sprocket about a year ago and it is still going strong. The DID x-ring chain is also moves much easier than the renthal o-ring chain I had before.
High quality components front, rear sprockets and chain. Easy to install.
We always use Renthal bars and sprockets on our race bikes. We have never had issue with the full aluminum rear sprocket, but switched to the Twin Ring Rear Sprocket this time in an effort to improve on already excellent durability. I anticipate great results with the steel outer ring.
I love Renthal chain wheels. I bought this twin-ring set to increase durability. It replaced their T6 aluminum alloy product that I had run for a couple of seasons. And I can't believe how little wear there is on the all aluminum alloy wheel. Really fantastic. Twin-ring should outlast me.

This is the first time we have used the Renthal Twin Ring. It has lasted through several months of racing, plus practicing. I will purchase another one. Really like this sprocket.
Front and real sprocket have been great, but the Renthal chain broke in half after 2hrs on it! I will purchase the sprockets again but will not be buying renthal chains! Will stick to DID!
I have run Renthal chain & sprocket set ups on dozens of different off-road and road bikes over a 25 year racing, riding, testing and tuning career. At times I spend upwards of 100 days per year riding off road, and I ride a street bike in place of a car most days. I have built a number of race winning and championship wining machines over the years as well.
Firstly, When you replace your chain and sprockets you should always do so as set. This ensures the best longevity and performance from your drivetrain. This is because the chain and sprockets wear together, and by replacing one component, but not the others, this accelerates wear for all the components, both new and old. In the case of these Renthal items, their high tensile strength chains and specialy machined hard anodized sprockets last longer (with proper lubrication and adjustment) than any other set up I have ever used over my very long riding-racing career. I reccomend Renthal full aluminum sprockets and non O-Ring R1 Works Chains for MX and sprint Racing. This is because in MX and sprint Racing these are the lightest, strongest components available, and therefore rob dthe least power from your drivetrain and provide the least possible unsprung wieght . This paticular set, with Renthal Works O- ring chain and Twin Ring Steel Teeth-Hard Anodized Aluminum inner is for a high use off road Endurance Set-up on a YZ450. For offroad and road race Endurance racing, long duration training rides, and all Streetbike applications, the Twin Ring is the way to go because it offers unmatched lightness combined with incredible durabilty and toughness. This YZ450 routinely sees 50 miles of sand, rocks and desert riding per fuel tank, and 100 miles per day is not uncommon. The twin ring set up will last for at least 100 hard run race-practice days and many, many hours. This is the set up I reccomend for recreational riders because the long life saves you a ton of money, and if properly adjusted and lubed will last most riders several seasons and will out last other aluminum chain sprocket combos by several times, all while wieghing a fraction of what other steel set ups wiegh, meaning you are not losing power by using aheavy steel sprocket drive line set up. It is important to note this set will be lubed after the chain and sprockets are warmed with Maxima Clear chain lube which is another important step and good tip. You should get into the habit of lubing your chain at the end of every ride when the chain and sprockets are nice and hot. This allows the lube to penatrate best, and then "set up" as driveline cools.This helps prevents most of your lube from flying off and ending up on your rear wheel, which is what happens when you lube cold right before you ride. Have fun and keep the rubber side down.

The screws that hold the outer part of the sprocket to the inner part of sprocket come loose and fall out. Got about three rides out of this sprocket and noticed that there was only four screws holding it together Would not recommend

This combo is high quality! Get the Tag replacement bolt kit to go with this set. They have a larger allen key holes and look great. They should be included in this combo. I opted to upgrade to the Renthal 520 R3 O-Ring chain. This set is on my 07 CRF450R with stage 2 cam and High compression piston. I have put about 40 miles of hard trail ridding on it so far with lots of clutch and throtle action. I have not had to adjust my chain tention yet and no sign of wear on th sprockets at all. Remarkable in my book.

Renthal chain is a little heavier than the DID non o-ring (Honda manual), but it does not streatch like the DID. I also found the Renthal chain matches these sprockets better than any other. I race hare scrambles and get all kinds of debris mixed between the spockets and chain, but this setup has worked out to be the best I've tried. Somewhat self clearing and is durable. Clean it after your ride, hit it with a water dispersant (WD-40), when the bike is finished drip drying, lube the chain with your favorite non sling. For me it is definitely worth the money.
