Great Product Line

This is my third set of Rental sprockets and as usual they don't disappoint. Look good, perform great, are consistent in their product quality. Only mark down is on durability but that is an accross the board complaint on all sprocket sets. I know, I know, durability is a tough compromise of weight, functionality, and style.

Renthal is the way to go

Ive used Renthal sprockets for a long time now and my last two chains I also went with Renthal and they are awesome products. I just went with the Renthal R1 gold race chain and I'm hoping I will love it as much as the o ring chains. I went with a non o ring because I am more crazy about my bike than anyone I've met when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. I wash my bike after every single ride and that wash always includes using my chain brush and cleaning the chain and sprockets then oiling them. I figured with that maintenance the chain will last just as long as my others. My ONLY COMPLAINT AND IT'S A BIG ONE, why can't I get a red sprocket for my yamaha!!!??? Sheez what the red is only for Honda? News flash lots of yamaha are white and red like mine and a red sprocket would look sick on blue plastics anyway. The blue sprocket is ugly. Get with it Renthal. Lol ok that's my rant. Great products from Renthal!

Sprocket kit

Rear sprocket is wearing out a lot faster than I would have liked only have 1800 mi and will probably have to buy another one around 5k mi... rest of the kit was good.

Renthal chain and sprocket kit 2015 RM-Z 250

I've had the set on my bike now for over 15 hours and they still look new! Everything fit perfect, it looks good and is holding up very well. And the sprockets were very lightweight compared to the stock sprockets. I would definitely recommend this product!

Great package here

I have been using the Renthal combo for years and have never had any issues with any part of this combo. You cannot go wrong with this combo of strength and reliability. If you want to step it up order the combo with the Renthal twin ring rear sprocket as I did.

A: Well the packaging of the actual chain and sprockets would fit in any suitcase, I have a picture of both in the packaging in a review right above where you posted this question, but the weight I can't help you there. Sprockets are light but the chain I'd guess is around 6 pounds maybe? Just a guess

Q: Replacing stock chain and sprocket?
2 months 2 days ago
I just bought a 2016 CRF450R and I'm looking to add some aftermarket parts. This is the first time I have had a bike worth modifying and the money to do so, so I'm pretty green when it comes to this kind of stuff. I ride mostly trails with some mx track in there every now and then. Most of the trails I ride are 2nd and 3rd gear trails, nothing that requires more top end power. I don't want to buy a setup so snappy I loop out coming out of every corner but I would like something that adds a little more bottom end git up. Can someone make a recommendation on front and rear sprocket size that you think would suit me?

A: Id say add two teeth to your rear sprocket, that will give you more bottom end snap

A: Your best bet is to select the 120 link chain and shorten to the length you want. It is difficult to try and buy a chain that is setup to a certain length as there are many variables such as preferred wheel base and tire size. Pulling a link is easy with a cheap chain tool.

I require more speed and power as I do flat track racing any suggestions on what size sprockets for the front and rear?
MotoSportExpert
MotoSport Staff Expert
A: For more top end you would need to go down teeth on the rear sprocket and/or up on the front sprocket. For more bottom end you would go up on the rear and/or down on the rear. I would suggest talking with some of the racers you are racing with at the track to find out what gearing is being used and working the best.
