Like a Ninja Throwing Star for your Dirt Bike

Do you like to sneak up on people? Well...you won't be doing that after you buy this Pro Taper Lightweight Sprocket. Unfortunately, you will be under a full-throttle assault with that big tasty double when you realize that numerical tooth count magic has done wonders for your whip game. My Extreme Enduro KTM Loves these PT Sprockets due to the fact that they don't really care about all that earthen trash that tends to set up camp in my case saver. The wear is amazing....they should make Taco Bell bathroom door handles out of the same material. Good Pro Taper!

12T added some bottom end

I went to a smaller front sprocket for trail riding and tight single track rides. Made the bike a little more manageable and way less stalls straight out of the garage. Still fast but added a little bottom end with a 50T rear sprocket which is bigger than stock. Very happy with the way the bike rides after the change from a 14T.

Did not fit 250x

I think this had been mixed up in packaging by renthal. It had correct model listed on package but did not fit splines on crf 250x counter shaft. 1 star is for renthal but I give 5 stars to Motorsport! They recommended a JT that was cheaper and cross shipped it! Had it in 2 days! Btw, 13 tooth rocks on 250x for tight terrain!!

Need low end...

We needed more low end/mid range power from my son's CR 85RB (expert or big wheel), which had the stock chain and sprockets. The stock setup which is excellent for top end screaming was difficult to use for what we ride, which is tight and technical trails. Since no 'complete kit' on the market was offering the range that we were looking for we bought each piece ala carte.

- Sunline rear sprocket (56 tooth)
- Pro Taper front sprocket (14 tooth)
- Tag sprocket bolt kit
- DID 420NZ3 Gold Chain (126 links)

He loves his new setup. The powerband has shifted to the front and now when he pulls on the throttle he goes. Hill climbs have become much easier and he can even tractor up them with the new found usable power...

His new set up is a 14/56 which is (-1/+1) from stock. The ratio is 4% now which is a change of +9.28% from stock...

Q: I got the 13 tooth pro taper for a 2006 rmz 250 do u sell a circlip for this sprocket ?
8 days 8 hours ago
the sprocket did not come with a circlip and this sprocket does not bolt onto the shaft because its Suzuki so it just has the circlip holding the sprocket on. the sprocket is extremely loose and the circlip that I had with the old sprocket is not tight in the notches of the shaft so do you have a circlip I can buy that will fit the 13 tooch sprocket for my 2006 rmz 250?

Q: My front sprocket is wiggling?
Is this ok? or should I fix it and what do I need to fix it???

A: There is generally a bit of play, as long as the fixing plate is in good condition and the 2 bolts are tight there should be no issue. However its hard to say for sure without being able to see, what you are calling wiggling, and if its normal or not.

A: It's the opposite of what you said. more teeth on the front = low end; less teeth on the front = top end. Its backwards from the rear sprocket.

A: YES, THE SMALLER FRONT SPROCKET WILL GIVE YOU MORE LOWER END TORQUE AND LESS TOP END SPEED. EACH REVOLUTION OF THE COUNTERSHAFT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FRONT SPROCKET WILL TURN THE REAR SPROCKET FARTHER THE MORE TEETH THAT ARE ADDED TO THE FRONT. ALSO THE REAR SPOCKET WILL GIVE YOU MORE LOW END THE MORE TEETH YOU HAVE ANDLESS TOP END SPEED.

A: yes smaller for low end and bigger for top end. its the opposite for the rear

Q: How many teeth are on this sprocket?
Is the picture an exact representation of the product? The picture has 16 teeth on the sprocket. Does this sprocket have 16 teeth? And if so, does this sprocket come in a 15 tooth option?

A: you will have to choose your bike from the drop downs and then if these sprockets are available to fit your specific bike/atv than you will need to select the amount of teeth you're looking for. If you have any question about stock gearing, give our sales staff a call and we can answer it.
