Chainsaw mount

It works as discribed. The saw chain gouged a small strip from the scabbard when it was removed. My 14" bar is to short for it. When I used a shorter scabbard it came off as I was riding. I modified the one that came with the mount by pop riviting an addtional layer around the top so it can't fall through the slot. Other than that I'm completely satisfie with the unit. I was able to mount it to a round style rack.

A great purchase at a good price point.

I installed it on the back rack of my Fatty MTB, and use it for trail maintenance. The 11 pound weight of the saw is just behind the bicycle seat, so it doesn't affect the ride too much. It's a very solid but light for it's intended use. I would say that it's very well designed. I am quite happy with it. After looking at options of making my own, I came to the conclusion that I probably would spend just as much money but a lot more time to come up with something similar.

Good product

This product works well. I installed it on a 1996 XR 250 for clearing trails in the spring. Works much better then carrying a chainsaw on your back. You're able to carry a larger bar saw if you don't use the yellow blade guard You do need to purchase the promotobillit rear rack system. The rear rack system retails for $130.00.

A: The Chainsaw Adapter bolts quickly to the rack, and makes a stable, secure mount for your saw. It comes with a durable rubber pad, mounting plate and hardware, and a orange scabbard suitable for bars up to 18” in length.

A: This Chain saw holder would require the Pro Moto Billet "Rack It" Cargo Rack.
