Cool Idea

I saw this Ogio product and thought it was a really cool idea.
Basically the pack body is stiff and there is no external strapping, so it stays aero at highway speeds with nothing flapping around.
You access the pack from the other side... the side against your back.
The opening is huge, there's lotsa pockets, and a protected spot for a spare face shield in a scratch free, shaped pocket.
That's an awesome feature... stow a clear shield there for the ride home after dark.
Heard some reviews say it was hard to get on and off, but it seems really easy and natural to me.
I like this pack a lot.

Well it's a back pack

This ain't a bad little back pack. It's a little small so if your planning a trip longer than a day your clothes won't fit I could barely fit 3 shirts one pair of jeans and a pair of chucks and that's with the expansion zipper opened so for anybody wanting to use this to move allot of things they won't fit. The molded back is nice and had a carbon fiber print to it so it looks tough but just throwing the back on the floor and it hit the wall it adds little dimples to it is more molded soft plastic I guess what you find in the padding on a motorcycle jacket would be the best way to describe it but it is nice you get alot of compliments wearing it.

Mach 5

This is the first motorcycle specific backpack that I have owned. I purchased it after reviewing several other backpacks on your site. It was clear that much thought had gone into each feature of this bag. Although it was more expensive than some other bags, the no drag feature, no outside zippers or compartments and the water resistant inside lining were big selling points. I have carried it a few times. I really like it.

Great backpack for the daily commuter

First of all the backpack looks awesome with on the outside with the carbon fiber look and the reflective piping which also makes you more visible at night. Very comfortable for daily use or weekend trip. It's a little bit on the expensive side but if you're daily commuter like me, you can look at it as an investment. First of all the backpack looks awesome with on the outside with the carbon fiber look and the reflective piping makes you more visible at night. The clip-on shoulder strap makes taking off the bag easy and the helmet carrier comes in handy when you don't feel like leaving your helmet on your bike. It's very aerodynamic and it sits in place on your back on and off the bike. It has well placed organizer pockets inside. It has specific pockets for an extra helmet visor, laptop, tablet, hydration pack, shoes, pens or pencils and other small items. In the inside of the shell you can fit a few clothing items or a jacket perhaps. There's also a load divider which you can use to keep everything in place. On the outside you have a fleeced lined pocket where you can put sunglasses or a smartphone. It also comes with a removable waist strap that with a pouch on it where you can put your wallet, keys or other things you might need at hand. Keep in mind is a backpack specifically made for motorcycle riders so it might take some getting use to the backpack due to the shape and how everything is placed on it, but it's worth it.

Overall, one of the best motorcycle backpacks on the market. A bit expensive but worth every penny for the daily commuter since it's a high quality backpack backed up by Ogio's lifetime warranty. But for the price I think they should've at least included the hydration reservoir with it.

Lots of room

If your planning a day trip this will fit it all. The hard shell takes some getting use to, but a good backpack.

Q: Would the backpack offer reasonable protection for DSLR/lenses gear? Or is there something better? My weapon of choice is Yamaha R6.?

A: The OGIO No Drag Mach 5 Backpack is not designed to carry and protect camera equipment but you should be able to fit a protective camera bag inside it. Which would be the safest option in my opinion.

I want to use the bag for daily commute and will bring along my laptop. I need to ensure that the bag is fully waterproof to protect my IT products during the commute. Thank you.

A: No, it is not 100% waterproof. The Weather-resistant molded exterior shell will keep it dry for a while but on a long ride if its wet enough it could begin to soak through.

Do you think this bag would fit a volleyball and a pair of shoes inside of it?

A: It looks like you might be able to depending on the size of your shoes and the volleyball may be a little big. Your best bet will be measuring everything and comparing it to the dimensions of the bag. Here are the dimensions.
