Did not fit pro taper handlebars CR hi Bend
I'm using them on a RMZ 450 with the renthal fat bars, no sanding or anything like that, they slipped right on, you have to get the right cam, it comes with the common ones. But they sell other ones for less common bikes for 2 dollars. So make sure you read the description! The feel good, don't wear down too quick and take about 3 minutes to install and they don't slip, at all.
The installation and packaging is great. Couldn't be easier and I will not go back to old glue on grips. The only problem is I feel like the grips themselves seem hard and thin and cheap. But other than that they are awesome.
Best grips I have ever owned. Easy instal, no problems with the throttle side like some say. ( Twin wall bars) have on my Kawi too, and fit easy on that as well. Easy on the hands, good feel, just bolt them down and go. No wire, no glue.
Have two sets of these now, the lock on design is an automatic winner, and the half waffle allows for good grip without being too tough on the hands for long race/rides. Had to cut the ends off to use with the Cycra bark busters, but was easy to do with an exacto knife. Will buy again.
I was a little bit worried at first with the grips not being glued on, but these turned out to be the best grips I have used yet. You don't need to worry about the grips moving at all. The only down side is that the ends pop out for hand guards if you crash, and then dirt gets in, making the throttle twist harder. I purchased a set of end caps along with the another set of grips, and the problem was fixed
Warning: If you handlebar has a knurled clutch side - which most do - these grips will not fit. The clutch side is way too small.
neither of the cams fit on the cables (the holes were to big and the cables fell out) and the clutch side grip didnt fit even after i sanded the bumps down.
My grips on my MX bike have been in bad shape for a long time but I didn't want to change them due to the glue and all that. I saw ODI's lock on grips which I have my downhill MTB and also my wife's and we both love them so I thought I'll give them a try. Very easy to install. On the clutch side I was only able to barely get it started and then I used a mallet to pound it on then tightened the screw to 15 inch lbs and was done. I haven't ridden the bike yet but the grips feel like they are fused onto my handlebars. Also the material is tacky and solid....these aren't soft grips but that's exactly what I wanted. Would highly recommend!!!
Love mine. Just make sure you got the correct throttle cam.
these grips are awesome if you don't mind a harder grip. they do not move at all its the next best thing to the grip being molded right to the bar. no more glue and safety wire. the one down fall is when dump the bike on the right side the throttle tube breaks because the grip rubber can not tear off the tube like a conventional grip so it takes the tube with it. i've broken 3 so far. if is out there listening please make a version with a metal throttle tube and a capped end(no punch out) to keep the dirt out
I always put off grip replacement because I hate the glue and wire hassle- Thats why odi grips are great! Quick, easy and secure installation with no glue!
