I've bounced around a few different lubes, in an effort to find some that will protect well, coat easily, and dry with enough tack that it doesn't fling off. I had been using Bel Ray Super Clean, since it goes on smooth, white (so you can check coverage), and dries tight to the chain - no fling at all. However, it also dries so thoroughly that it wears away fairly quickly. If you remember to check your chain regularly, you'll be able to stay on top of it and reapply as needed. However, I'm absent-minded when it comes to chain maintenance, so I switched up to the Motul Factory Line last year. Applies smoothly and still has that white color, but it doesn't dry hard to the chain like the Bel Ray lube. This allows it to move and flow into gaps, but it's tacky enough when fully dried to stop most fling. My shelf is now fully stocked with Motul Factory Line, and I use it on all my machines.
