Simple upgrade.

I have oversized bars with no cross bar. The OEM vent tube would go into the stem as most do. With the oversized bars, it was annoying to have the original vent tube routed into the stem. I opted to get this to make venting easier. It was tricky to install as the tube to cap was a tight fit. Be prepaired to heat it up on the end as it makes installing easier. Simple add on to make for a trick look.

Cool accessories

Got this to replace one that I lost. The blue color I got is kind of a weird blue color that doesn't go well with Yamaha blue. Ether way it's some cool bling for your ride.

Exactly what you accpect

It was a little tight to put on the gas cap, you just have to work it and stretch out the plastic. Overall once you get it on there it does not come off and looks awesome!! Was tired of the hoses and them cracking this is a permanent fix and looks great!!

Don't over heat the tube. I'd suggest placing the tip in hot water to make the tip soft prior to attachment. I made the mistake of using a lighter. It melts really quick.

Moose Vent Cap

cant go wrong with these, i got them on all my quads and dirtbikes. one tip for install is to stick a philips head screwdriver in the end to ream it out so it will fit on the cap a little better

Nice Vent Cap

It does what it is supposed to do. Works and fits fine. I ordered the blue and it is more of a teal color, not dark blue like the images show.

Good look but poor vent and cheap quality.

I use this item for 3 month, and now i have problem with the vent because its blocked!
the rubber hose is a cheap quality.
Rare in a Moose product.

Good Vent Cap, But...

It's a good quality vent cap, however the rubber hose is a hard and cheap quality hose and I replaced it with something of a higher quality. The old hose proved to be a pain in the butt to get off and took 2 pliers, 1 knife, and hot water to get it off the Moose Racing vent cap. Also another thing is I ordered the vent cap in blue, I expected a Yamaha Blue or something near that shade of blue, however it is a very light blue and doesn't quite match as well as I'd hope. So that's why I only gave the product 3 stars. Keep in mind this is only a $10 part.

looks great...this fit my cr 125 but not my cr 250. I may have messed up, but i did not see a fitment chart.

Works as expected

It's a vent cap. It works.

When installing, save yourself trouble and hair dry the hose until it's warm. Makes installing it much easier.

Better than vent line

Installed on a KTM. No longer have to fight the twisted frame mounted vent line every time I remove fuel cap. The plastic line is very stiff and diameter is too small to easily mount on a KTM fuel cap, I replaced with a 1" piece of rubber fuel line, much easier to install. Colored ones look good too.

A: I have used different brands and have never had any problems with leaking gas. They allow air to escape but not the gas. I like them so i can take gas cap off when pouring gas without having to pull gas hose off gas cap. I wouldnt pay a lot for these but if on sale they are worth having

Why are these used for?

A: The aluminum vent caps replace the stock vent hose on your gas cap and have a built-in one way valve that allows airflow in, but not out. So if you tip over and the bike is laying down gas will not spill out. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

A: It replaces your OEM vent tube that traditionally comes from the gas cap and is often put into the steering stem. This eliminates the excess hose and puts only about 1 1/2 of hose above your cap. Looks better and plus you don't have to mess with the goofy hose.

Q: Doesn't fit?
2 years 11 months ago
I got one kf these and I took the stock tube on my bike off I dknt understand it's too small around the bottom to fit on the gas cap.. I dknt know there's a little piece on my gas cap should I take it off or keep that on and finagle the vent onto it?? I'm new with this stuff btw thanks..

A: Really this should work for any dirt bike gas cap. From what I can tell looking at the OEM diagrams for your CRF80F it looks like the "extra" you are referring to would be the larger part at the top of the tube coming out of the gas cap this would slide onto. I wouldn't think you would necessarily remove or cut off that part, as doing so may not leave enough material to hold this vent hose on. Realistically the rubber hose should be able to be stretched over that larger portion at the top of the cap (lubrication may be needed to help). I would recommend trying to get this on the cap as it is before modifying your gas cap in any way.

A: It's tough to put on because you have to work it onto the gas cap. I thought it didn't fit either when I got mine. Put one side on and work and twist the tube around the cap piece soon enough it will go on

A: Yes it does in fact come with a tube, however it is hard and a bit small. I had to put mine in a very hot cup of water and let it sit in it until it'd allow me to put in on my gas cap.

A: Yes it will fit and replace oem tube. You will need to heat tube up with lighter and slide it on cap. This will form tube to cap and help it stay on. Be careful and don't heat to much or catch tube on fire.

A: yes it fits directly on your stock gas cap but you need to heat up the vent tube for easier installation.
