M4 GP Series Slip-On Exhaust

Product Description

M4 Exhaust manufactures exhausts which add power and a more race-inspired sound to your bike as well as lowering the overall weight. Extra time on research and development ensures your exhaust has the ultimate in quality workmanship, ease of installation, and the best performance possible for your motorcycle. M4 Exhausts are available in both Standard / Race and GP Series mounting configurations.

  • The GP Series mounts much lower and forward than stock, right near the right rider foot peg.
  • This mount will give you that "GP" look and sound.
  • Enjoy a deep, throaty tone from the lower RPM range through the mid-range - open it up and it screams MotoGP!
  • The M4 GP Series Slip-On Exhaust has a built-in baffle, tuning the exhaust note for a crisp head turning sound.
  • M4 has built a quality fitting exhaust that is a breeze to install; all mounting hardware and instructions included.
  • The GP exhaust system will shed some weight over stock to give your sport bike improved power-to-weight ratio.
  • M4 slip-ons are designed for use with the stock header assembly.
  • Flat black finish with a satin M4 aluminum name plate.

Note: All M4 systems are designed and intended for closed-course competition use only.

A decent can

It wakes a bike up and definitely makes it loud if thats what you want. It's a deep sound though so its not annoying while idling then it screams when you open it up. Only one small complaint. The stainless piping had bad welds and one even had a hole in the center of it. Not a problem for me as I am a welder but for someone else that would have been a leak.

Nice exhaust

I just put this exhaust on my 2011 ZX6R today and I went for a ride right away. At first, I didn't really like that it looked a lot like a cone, but then it grew on me. It looks so much better and It's so much louder than that stock tin can and I can tell that there is a weight difference. Installation was pretty easy except for the top bolt on the foot peg, which was a little tricky to tighten but not too bad. The screw on the actual cone did not tighten all the way for some reason. No matter how much I tried to tighten it, it would just keep spinning so I just tightened that bracket bolt where the exhaust goes in and left it like that. Not sure if thats how that bolt is supposed to be or not. It didn't feel too wobbly so I hope it stays on lol. Other than that, this exhaust is cool and it's loud. It roars out on the street and other traffic can now hear me coming.

Awwwwesome!!!!!!!!

I installed this pipe in about an hour on my 09 ninja zx6r. If you want loud, this m4 pipe wil not disappoint, its freaking awesome! Besides sounding awesome, it looks great. A buddy of mine has a yoshi pipe on his cbr 600rr and you couldnt even hear his bike, this m4 completely took over the sound war! If you want loud, get this m4 along with an ear plug for your right ear! Some YouTube videos don't do this pipe justice. My opinion and to each their own, can't say how it will sound on other models, but the m4 sounds bada** on my ninja. Thanks Motosport, as always great service and fast shipping!!!

Amazing exhaust!!

This exhaust is great.. It looks amazing on my 2013 gsxr 750, I didn't think it was going to make that much of a difference to the sound of the exhaust, but was I wrong! It sounds incredible! And you can't beat the price!! So overall great addition to any bike without spending lots of your hard earned cash....

Awesome Noise

Great sounding exhaust. I don't really notice any performance upgrade but its looks and sounds great. It's loud but not to loud. Breaks in after a few days and really opens up nicely.

Awesome for the price

Easy to install just like other slip ons. Added a little rumble and looks better then the big a** chrome stock slip on. If you dont have the cash to drop on a two brothers this is the way to go.

Great slip on for price

I bought this exhaust mostly for a better sounding exhaust. If you want performance and power you need a full exhaust. I like the gp look to it and it gives your bike a better look.

I kept the heat sheild on.

M4 slip on fit over Yoshimura midpipe?
I have a k6 gsxr 1000 with a FULL Yoshimura TRC carbon fiber exhaust system. The carbon fiber has started to fade, and I am wanting to remove and replace it with an M4 shorty. My question is, will the M4 slip on fit over the yoshimura TRC midpipe? Or would I need to buy a full M4 system? Thanks.

The M4 Slip-On would not work with the Yoshimura Full System. You would need to order the Full M4 System.

Are they going to make a M4 for the 2013 GSXR 1000?
Expert MotoSport Staff

Unfortunately the M4 GP slip-on is not made for the 2013 Suzuki GSXR1000. I would recommend taking a look at the M4 MC-36 Slip-On Exhaust as it would be made to fit your bike. ( http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/M4-MC36-Standard-SlipOn-Exhaust-Carbon )

Colour?
Is it possible to order this product with the M4 logo removed? Or have it in black instead of white?

No, We do not have any way to customize the M4 Exhaust. It is only manufactured black with the silver logo.

Quantity?
I have a 2013 Z1000SX (ZX1000 Ninja) which has two exhausts, one on either side of bike. Does this listing for my bike come as a pair, or would I need to order a quantity of two?
Expert MotoSport Staff
1 month 1 day ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
You would only need to order a quantity of one (1) for your bike. The M4 GP Series Slip On Mufflers for your Kawasaki ZX1000 would be sold as a pair.

M4 on 2010 zx6r?
Does it come with the mid pipe? and does it reduce hp or torque?
MotoSport Staff Expert
1 month 10 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This M4 GP Slip-On would not include the mid-pipe. It would only be the slip-on muffer that attaches to the Catalytic Converter under the bike.

Fitting a 2003 Kawi 636?
I know the fitment specs say it will not fit a 2003 636, but I'm curious to know what the difference is between a 2009 and a 2003 636 as far as exhaust fitting. Could it be modified to fit this exhaust?
Expert MotoSport Staff
1 month 15 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
As far as I can tell the '03 ZX636 and '09 ZX636 exhausts are not interchangeable. I wouldn't recommend trying to modify any exhaust to fit a bike it was not made for.

Does this exhaust come with a silencer? I want a shorty slip on but don't really want it to be too loud.?
MotoSport Staff Expert
1 month 15 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The M4 GP Series Slip-On Exhaust has a built-in baffle, tuning the exhaust note for a crisp head turning sound. This exhaust will still be a bit louder than your stock exhaust even with the baffle in.

Does the bike (zx6r) need to be re-tuned after installing a slip on?
once the stock exhsuat is removed along with the catalytic conv square box and the m4 gp exhaust is installed is tuning the bike necessary or is its not required as all will be fine with the stock settings
Expert MotoSport Staff
2 months 7 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This M4 Slip-on would not remove the Catalytic converter but if you were to remove the Catalytic converter you would more than likely need to re-tune your fuel mapping for optimal performance. I would recommend taking a look at the DynoJet Power Commander 5 for your Kawasaki ZX6R

I have a 2008 cbr 1000rr, if i go with the M4 gp exhaust do i need a power commander?
MotoSport Staff Expert
2 months 14 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Normally with a slip-on exhaust only a small amount of tuning is required if any. It would not be a bad idea to also get a Power Commander as it would help you tune your bike for optimal performance, but it is not necessarily required when running just a slip on.
