Chain Guide

I just got this chain guide , it came really quickly but it was a tight fit fit for my CRF 450R, I used the exsisting rubber originally that came with the stock guide, it seems to work just fine, the only problem was that the bolt holes didn't line up correctly, but with a little coaxing it worked.

Nice piece

Strong, light cool looking, just make sure you get Oem guide because some after market guides will not fit this cage.

Trick!

Let's face it...carbon fiber parts look sick. While this part adds sweet, sweet black bling, it doesn't do much for weight savings or better function. Still worth the money for all the longing looks at the track.

It works

Getting it on my drz 400 is a whole other story the mounting holes are about 1/16 off center to big. Not a problem a drill can't fix but still just another step you have to take. This issue was not one I would expect from lightspeed. Still it works good looks trick and we will see if it stands the test of time!

Don't forget the Block!

I bought this without the Acerbis (or stock) chain guide block and unfortunately the chain burned through the carbon fiber after 1 ride and before I noticed that I didn't have the block. Moral of story: don't forget the chain guide block! jumps price up to $80 and might not be worth it.

Looks cool, but not neccessary

Do you need carbon fiber? No. It's pretty cool, it's light and it's tough, but where I was dissapointed is that this is just the 2 outer plates, it had no bottom to it. However, it's been on my bike for 3 years with no problems at all, so I can't complain too much

Good product

Fits well although there is a problem with one of the bolts being too long and potentially hitting the sprocket because the carbon fiber guide is so much thinner than the plastic one. Also helps to have the stock spacer in place.

So cool!

This product is way lighter, look really good on the bike, and is tough! I would highly recommend getting this!

Worth it!!!

the guide is noticably lighter that stock it looks great and matches oem exactly the only thing that would make it better would be if the rubber was included

The chain cut through the bottom of this chain guide in just a few hours of riding time. Absolutely a no buy item! Product should be removed from Motosport inventory. Motosport does not need to offer these types of inferior products.

Nice add-on

I put this on an '02 YZF426 and the install was easy. Everything matched stock chain guide perfectly, just a few screws and you're in business. I also added the front sprocket cover and rear master brake guard to compliment the carbon fiber look. Have gotten a lot of comments on them. Other reviews complain about these being cheap, but carbon fiber is supposed to be thinner and lighter AND STRONGER, than the stock steel/aluminum. I would buy again for next bike.

Great fit

Fits great that's all I know for now. You'll have to buy the rubber liner seperately. Haven't had time to test yet. It is light weight for sure so I kept the stock one on my top shelf. I'll post a review after my first "wash" ride

Not neccessary

Beautifully made, looks very solid, too nice to bash up on the trail bike so I bolted it to the supermoto!!

Great Product

Great chain guard, looks alot better over stock metal one. only problem is if its the only carbon fiber thing on your bike it might look a little out of place

Light Speed Chain Guide

Fits perfect and holds up really well. It will get a little rough looking but all you have to do is hit it with a little tire dressing and it's brand new again. Carbon looks real good.

Nice Piece

The carbon fiber looks great! Stronger than in appears in the picture. The shape was exactly the same as the factory part. Holds the OEM (rubber) block perfectly.

Q: Does this fit with polisport chain block?

Description says it works with oem or acerbic chain block, but polisport fit my existing chain guide perfect. So why wouldn't it fit this?

A: If the PoliSport unit fits the stock OEM chain guide, than it will fit the Lightspeed unit also.

Q: Is there a rubber insert that goes with the LightSpeed guide or is it just the guide by itself?

A: It's just going to be the shell, you use your OEM block with this.

A: No,it is just the cage for the guide. Make sure you buy Oem or equivelant guide because some others will not fit stock cage dimensions.

A: No, no rubber insert comes with it, you'll have to use your exsisting one.
