I would only use this pen for bikes that would not be ridden much unless you have the time to put multiple coats on after rides, etc. I applied the paint to new tires after they were installed on the rim but before I installed the wheels on the bike just so the paint would not run vertically on the tire. It requires a fine touch and expect at least 3 coats to be applied for a bright yellow finish. Don't expect the paint to be permanent, it is paint and wears with contact to dirt and rocks. It is what it is but the wheels look awesome with fresh paint...would be great for restorations that remain on display to impress your girlfriend or politically correct partner.

I just ordered this thing to dress my bike up a little, make the tires look like the pros, and the thing literally blew apart in my garage when i preceded
(attempted) to shake it 10 times as directed. The MOTOSPORT decals that came with my order had more quality than this pen. Don't waste your money, buy a sparkplug or something useful.
Looks good on tires .
This tire pen was a huge mistake. Does not work. Do NOT waste your money.
After every set of new tires i purchase, I also purchase a couple of the tire pens (white) my bike is white and its a great look fill in the the tread with white paint. Definitely get props 4 it a lot as not too many people do it.
It does it's job, but doesn't last long, fades quick and after the tip dries out, doesn't write too well. I wasn't impressed
After realizing that painting in the letters on tires is a waste of time, i started 2 paint the outter tread lines of every new michelin pilot power that i buy. The white stands out and gives a sporty custom look 2 my white repsol's tires. It quick and easy (15 minute job)
If you like spending a hour and a half painstakingly painting small letters on tires only to do it again after your next ride, this product is for you. For anyone else, not really!
Don't bother. This looks pretty cool until the first ride and all the paint just flakes off. The paint is also really thin and takes quite a few coats before it will even look decent.
i have been looking for a way to color in the logos on my tires white and this sure does the job. the only thing is that it would help if the pen tip was a little finer, it would make the job a little easier. it makes the tires look sporty.
