Q: From what Im reading this will correct efi mapping issues when an aftermarket exhaust is put on?

I'm looking to install a full fmf exhaust system and from what I've read you need to adjust the map settings after doing this. This will clean up and or correct mapping issues with the new exhaust?

A: The JD Jetting EFI Tuner is designed to optimize the fuel/air ratio of your machine. Depending on the stock machine, it may or may not benefit you with a completely stock motor, airbox and exhaust. Many times with the EFI systems used on the motorcycles and ATVs found today, when adding an exhaust, engine and/or airbox modifications, you will have to retune the stock EFI system to make sure you have the optimum air/fuel ratio. The tuner will not make any PEAK HP gains to your machine, but if your air/fuel ratio is not correct, you can see gains to the power curve of the machine by retuning the EFI correctly to optimize the modifications. Again, the EFI tuners do NOT produce more HP, they allow you to tune your machine to the correct Air/Fuel ratio.

Hi, i have a 2012 kx450 with full high comp race engine and full exhaust. Will this kit make this setup work better?

A: JD Jetting Fuel Injection Tuner are designed to optimize the air/fuel ratio. If your stock EFI is not properly tuned to run your modifications, than an EFI tuner would be required to get your air/fuel ratio back to optimal parameters.

Q: Will this work with a full titanium fmf exhaust?
2 years 9 months ago
I have a 2012 kx250f and I have a k & n filter on it with a full fmf titanum exhaust. Header was glowing and want to see if this will help. Thanks

A: It is completely normal for a new header to turn a bright red color when you first install and run your new header. I would recommend getting a good fuel injection tuner/ programmer because you will most likely need to re-tune after installing your aftermarket exhaust system.

A: Yes, the JD Jetting Fuel Injection Tuner would be great for tuning the fuel injection for the Two Brothers exhaust on your YFZ.

Q: Bike Settings?
hi just recently installed the tuner on my 2010 rmz450 all goes well except I cant notice much difference in power. A: The fuel injection tuners themselves will not necessarily increase the horsepower output of your bike. They allow you to tune your bike properly for modifications done to the bike such as an aftermarket exhaust that will, as whole overall package, increase the horsepower. They can aloso allow you to tune your bike for extreme elevation changes that may affect power output. If you just install an exhaust on your bike, the EFI mapping is not properly suited for the exhaust. The fuel tuner will allow you to change the EFI settings to achieve the greatest power output from the exhaust that you can. For the tuner there will not be a setting that will produce more horsepower. The bike will either have the correct fuel mapping, at which time it will have the most horsepower, or it can have the wrong mapping and create a condition where the bike may not perform at its peak.
