this helmet is great overall. true sizing with what feels like more of a generic shape/head fit. I really like the urban/snow cammo on the inside. carbon looks fantastic, its got a matt carbon look to it, no clear resin or just flat carbon. yellow shield is nice but very bright. i ended up also getting a tinted gold mirrored screen instead and that looks amazing on the helmet. easy to change and tool key included. nice packaging as well.

Think My Title Says it All, TBH. lol Nuff Said.
Comfortable fit and looks good. Easy to change shield or replace parts. Worth the money
crazy helmut at a insane price
I have been wearing this helmet in the Hi-Viz color for about two years now, mostly commuting on my f800gs. The look of the helmet is super cool. It has a very futuristic MX feel. I wanted a lid that didn't make me look lame out on the road.
Overall, seeing as I have been able to wear it for two years, it is a decent helmet, although I find myself feeling like it is now the most uncomfortable piece of gear I wear and am looking for a different brand. My biggest complaints are the weight, discomfort on my ears and the fact there is no room to velcro speakers in for my SMH-10R intercom.
It's not a bad helmet. But here is my take on it.
Hi-Viz color is easy to spot.
Helmet looks cool.
Decent quality. Nothing has broken or caused problems
Liner is easy to remove and clean
Buffetting at speed is not too bad
Heavy - I notice it on my head
Noisy and unsealed (especially when glancing over)
Hear pockets are shallow (can't use speakers)
Not the most comfortable (on my ears).
I have not removed the shield yet
Nor the visor so can't report on that
This is the second variant I've owned...
First was the rubber-tone, Second is the construct.
The only issue I've had is the strip around the bottom came
came off, I just glued it back on.
They are loud but what can you expect. It's a reverse teardrop
with a visor..(wear headphones)... Not the most aerodynamic shape but still cuts through the wind decent
Received product with extra Visor , really loved this fact as I prefer GIFT VISOR over the original.
It's a bit small than supposed to be, yet Im very happy
Very impressed with the ventilation and lack of noise. Visor grabs the wind a bit lane checking at speed however don't notice after a couple miles. Quieter than my shoei quest on the highway!!
Pros:Great look, hydra-dry liner is very functional
The only negative I have found with the helmet is over the shoulder checks at 60+ MPH the visor can create an exaggerated drag.
I also purchased the RST Gold lens to go with the helmet and it is great for day and night riding.
This helmet performed much better than i expected it to. I bought it figuring that the shape and visor would really catch the wind when riding and that it would be a pretty noisy helmet. This helmet does great at high speeds and feels just as stable as my Bell Star Carbon. It is a bit quieter too. There is plenty of airflow on hot days and i haven't had any fogging issues on cold mornings. The liner is super comfy and very easy to take out. The shield is easy to swap to but takes about 5 minutes.
I love this helmet! Fits nice and snug just like it should. I ordered a Large (I have a Large Fox V2 and V3 for dirt biking) and figured it should be in the same ball park sizing as my motocross helmets, which it was. The flat/rubberized black looks great with the Fire/Iridium shield. I would strongly recommend this helmet!
This helmet looks great and is very comfortable. Its a real head turner. Theres only 2 problems. The "charcoal" color actually turns brown in sunlights which is weird but in indoor lighting it looks like a dark grey. And the top piece of the helmet can get pretty annoying on windy days. When the wind hits it it moves the helmet alot and it feels like your a bobble head haha. Other than that this helmet is freaking amazing.
I use this helmet on my supermoto and dual sport.
At highway speeds there is a lot of wind drag.
The visor isn't the easiest to swap out which can be less than ideal when going out for rides at night or in inclement weather. The visor works well to block sun when it's in your eyes. Very well constructed helmet, haven't had any issues with it yet.
I would usually wear a Medium helmet however I first got the medium and had to return it for a large as I couldn't even get my head into the helmet. I'd recommend ordering 1 size up or try to find a store that has them and trying out which size works best for you.
I ordered the green version of this helmet, and it is awesome! I was riding with a Shoei RF-1100 and this helmet feels lighter and has a better fit than my shoei. Props to ICON for sending a free shield cleaning kit and an extra shield with the helmet. Changing the shield can be a little intimidating the first time you do it. When I was removing the side plates the helmet felt like something was going to break. While riding, the visor is noticable but after a week I have adjusted and hardle feel it while cruising at normal human speeds. Don't hesitate to buy this helmet!
I first ordered the orange version of this helmet thinking it would go with my repsol CBR but it didn't go well so I returned it (no problems at all) and got the matte black rubberized version. It fits like a charm and the venting is great on hot days - beats all my other helmets by far and so worth the money. Just a note on sizing, it was snug the day I got it but broke it in within a week or so and now fits great. Medium = about a 7 3/8 sized fitted hat.
Bought a Variant and a silver mirrored shield. Replacement shield doesn't fit right and one of the inner vent covers completely fell out of the helmet before I even had a chance to wear it on my bike. $415 for two pieces of garbage! If you're gonna spend that much for a helmet and shield, it had better be higher quality. Be warned! I expected more from Icon.
The best street helmet I have ever purchased!! The styling is fantastic, has the hybrid look of dirt and street, but does not catch the wind as one would think. Obviously at hwy speeds the peak will catch some, not nearly as much as a motocross helmet does, and it does make a bit more wind noise due to the peak and all the air channels in it. Great fit for a person with a less than round head (oval or egg shape) so it doesn't squeeze the forehead as others would. The finish is awesome, each construct will be different than others because of how the clear coat the fibers, making each one unique. The peak is a matte black same with the nose piece and the rest of the helmet is a glossy clear finish (which in the pictures looks all matte) but is not. And comes with an extra smoked colored lens.
Bought this helmet to wear on my hayabusa, finally got to try it out last weekend, nice fit, lots of vents to open or close depending on weather temp, helmet had no buffering and front bill didnt try to pull my head to the sky, helmet was very steady at high speeds, very happy with purchase.
the variant helmet exceeded my expectations. super comfortable and excellent airflow! this helmet defiantly adds style to your ride.

1. Lay a warm, wet cloth towel on the exterior of the helmet for at least 5 minutes to soften dried on bugs.
2. Remove the now softened bugs and road grime with a light bloting acton. For this use the soft part of your helmet bag provided or a clean microfiber cloth.
