Spark Plug Booster

Seemed to be excellent in my sons first race in harrisburg this last weekend friends were jealous how smooth his bike was but i think a cold spark plug is suggested plus his kx 85 is 2015 had to have it rejetted in carb by mechanic but seemed to give great power and response

Easy to install.. 10 minutes tops. Power and ease of starting. Just wish factory didn't price so high.. my opinion should be worth no more than $30-40

Can't wait to insall it when I get back home

This just came in mail( which was very quick) as I was headed out. The one thing that impressed me is how small it is. I installed an I cat spark enhancer on my KTM and it was a challenge to locate and mount this product, but was worth it! I notice right away better pull from the bottom, and it increased my miles per tank. In fact it did that so well I skipped buying a larger tank. Can't wait to install the IBooster.

Alternative to stock wire

Seems to work ok, didn't notice a drastic increase. I bought it for easier starting and its about the same.

This works better than I ever expected

I have always wondered if these made a difference in the way the bike would run. Without a doubt, they really do. My KTM 2stroke has always run fine as the jetting is set correctly for the area and temperatures I ride in. Yet it has always dripped some spooge from the exhaust, which bothered me a lot. After installing the iBooster (a proceedure that takes about 10 minutes), no more spooge whatsoever. Besides that, the bike starts first kick almost every time, even after crashing, also the power feels stronger off the botom, and I get more miles per tank of gas. Likewise, the smoke that is typical at startup is reduced significantly and the packing in the silencer lasts much much longer as it doesn't get saturated with oil like before. Over the many years that I've been riding I have never found a product that even comes close to doing so many positive things for the dollars spent. If you ride a 2stroke and put an iBooster on it I promise you will not be disappointed.

This thing really works!

I've had one of these on my KTM 2stroke for almost a year now and can honestly report that these are the real deal. The spooge that used to come from my silencer has been eleminated. And the time between repacking it has been at the very least doubled. Starting is almost always on the first kick. The power also feels smoother. Installation requires no tools and takes less than 10 minutes. I could go on and on.
I'm not sure how much difference it makes for a 4stroke, but I'm about to find out as I just ordered one for my Honda. If it makes even half as much of an improvement I'll be more than happy.
Try one, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Q: Jetting?
I've got a 2003 KX125 with a full FMF system and proper jetting for the exhaust. If I were to install one of these would I need to put new jets in?

A: If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this iBOOSTER Spark Amplifier.

A: This would likely not fix your problem. It could possibly be your CDI. Electrical issues like this are very tricky and hard to test for.

Q: How does it make the performance better?
1 year 4 months ago
I saw the description of what it does and what it is supposed to do for your bike, but how does it perform these performance increases? It looks to me like just a larger gauge wire, what else is going on here to make these improvements?

A: The iBOOSTER allows more time for the fuel to burn. This allows for an efficient combustion to happen. It operates with the same voltage that is released from the coil and the same ignition mapping. Therefore it does NOT alter the voltage and ignition mapping of your bike. It enhances both stock or high performance ignition systems by allowing the same volume of electricity to pass through the system albeit slower which keeps the spark ON for a longer period of time (only few nanoseconds more). It also has a fast recovery time in order to engage the next spark quicker. The concept behind the system is to release electricity slower into the combustion chamber but recover electricity faster for the next spark. This allows for the motor to achieve maximum fuel burn with a quicker reset time between sparks.
In a racing environment, the higher compression motors have a tendency to blow out the spark under a heavy load. This can happen on an uphill, exiting corners, faces of jumps, landing from jumps, any where the engine is having to really pull. The iBOOSTER gives the spark enough strength to ignite the fuel/air mixture under these extreme conditions.

A: The iBooster will NOT work with a coil on plug setup. It fits between coil and spark plug cap.

Q: Does it help with a low rpm bogging issue?
2 years 4 months ago
When I shift up and get back on the throttle it feels like the bike just chokes out till the rpms climb back up then its not an issue. This is for a 01 r1 with a stage 2 jet kit and a ya-1098 kn air filter running mobil 1 4t 10w-40. And a 44 toothed rear sprocket 520 pitch. And I run nothin but premium with a small shot of marvels.

A: It will increase your bikes throttle response but most likely won't solve the bogging issue. I would recommend giving your local Yamaha dealer a call and see what jets they recommend for your elevation and bike, then comparing them to the jet sizes you are currently running.

Q: How exactly does this work? How is it different from running a hotter plug?

A: The iBooster installs between your spark plug coil wire and your spark plug cap. Motocross bikes have a tendency to blow out the spark under a heavy load, causing them to bog down. Basically the iBooster helps keep your spark more consistent at all times even when the bike is under heavy loads. It makes for easier starting; provides more torque, more power, and quicker revs; improve burn at all RPM levels for “works” style throttle performance. Basically, the iBooster is supposed to make your engine perform better.

A: This would fit your 1988 Honda CR125R but there is nothing I can find that says that this item would help cold starting. The main advantages to running the Spark Amplifier would be Increased throttle response, cleaner, more efficient fuel burning, and Reduced emissions.

Q: Trying to get my 86 cr 125 started and no luck.?
its been sitting for years and its been ragged on.I'm just trying to get it up and running for something to ride. Its really hard to kick start so had to pull start it that was the only way to get it up and running but have to do that every time to get it running. There is engine coolant leaking into the motor oil what should I do or what do u think I need to get .Also checked the piston and the piston is still good had it check out. DO u think the Ibooster spark amplifier would help

A: More than likely this will not help with the issues you are having. First you will need to rebuild the water pump to take care of the coolant leaking into the engine. If you are not familiar with this procedure i would take it to some one who is. First thing i would check would be the compression on the engine. Even if the piston looks okay, the engine may be very low on compression. Anything below 125 PSI is going to be way to low and will require a rebuild of at least the top end. Unfortunately is is incredibly difficult to diagnose bikes without seeing them.
