With the smoke kit, when the bike is turned off, the covers look like a deep gloss black, but once you fire your beast to life, the lights shine right through the airscoop covers blocking about 30% of the light. While the look is impeccable, Hotbodies doesn't recommend them for night driving unless you switch out your standard H7 bulbs, which produce around 1500 lumens of lights, to higher powered HID bulbs producing 2800 - 3200 lumens of light.
The painted Kits include both left and right sides so you can choose to replace either light giving you that Endurance racing look or use them both for trackdays. Installation is a snap, just unbolt the O.E.M. headlight unit and replace with this part.
By employing Hotbodies' unique pressure and vacuum forming method, and using optically correct high-tech modified acrylic, they made these airscoop covers to be an easy installation with them fitting right over the stock headlights or replacing them all together. They are CNC trimmed to reflect Hotbodies' expertise in industrial design.
