Its hot in here

I use this on my 4 stroke MX bike where the pipe passed under the shock. This reduces heating of the shock caused by the hot exhaust. I use two layers and secure it with safety wire. You can tell the difference by touch with and without.

Great stuff

I use this on my shifter kart pipe. Works great and keeps my EGT sensor wires from melting.

Exhaust Wrap

This is a great product to prevent excess heat from your exhaust. My carb and shock are cooler. Also prevents my son from burning his feet when he rides with me.

Exacty what does this do do you replace the silencer packing with this?

No, this does not go in your silencer or to be used when repacking your exhaust. Mainly you just wrap your header with it

I want a megabomb header but no heat shields fit it,will this work just as good?

Yes this would be an alternative to a head shield.

If you don't have a heat shield will this substitute?

It wont replace it but it will work just as good and you can put it in different spots which makes it a little nicer

it will help a little with the overall heat reductions but a heat sheild is always a good thing to have to prevent burning your leg... one thing to remember with useing heat rap is it keeps the heat in so that means higher exhaust tempature.
