Hammerhead Forged Shift Lever

Product Description

Hammerhead Designs was launched with the intent to provide new and better parts and innovative accessories for motocross bikes. One of Hammerhead Designs' goals has been to design entirely new and unique products with improved ergonomics.

  • Lighter and stronger than the stock lever.
  • Lever arm forged from 6061 aluminum.
  • Shift tip is CNC precision machined from 6061 aluminum.
  • Stainless steel return spring.
  • UV anodizing for durability.

Technical Specifications:

  • Use of thread lock on the pinch bolt (or mounting bolt for KTM) on shift levers is highly discouraged and voids any warranty on the shift lever product.
  • Proper torque must be maintained (and checked regularly) and the use of waterproof grease is the best way to obtain proper torque. Refer to your owner's manual for torque specifications.
  • Note: Hammerhead CNC replacement shift tips will not mount to forged shift lever.

Will this work with a clutch slave cylinder saver?
KTM 2011 xc300. I installed a case saver (saves cases in case of broke chain) and had to adjust my shift lever below level with the foot peg to get it to shift. This was a part I ordered from KTM.

This shift should be designed as a direct replacement for your OEM (stock) shift lever. It would have the same basic shape and demensions as your existing lever. You will likely have to run it at a lower position just like you do with your stock shift lever.

If you are referring to the spring located in the shifter tip, you will need to contact Hammerhead directly to obtain that item. Hammer head can be reached at (866)436-6869 or on their website http://www.hdmoto.com/

Different lengths of the Hammerhead shifter?
I know they make shifters in different lengths (i.e. standard, 10 mm, and 15 mm). Do you offer those options? It does not show on the web page.

We offer the replacement tips to adjust the length of the shifter. If you give us a call we can get you the shifter with the tip length you want pre-installed.
