Easy to install, ligned up perfectly. I needed it by the weekend and paid for overnight shipping, but part of my order was not ready and they held off shipping until the entire order was ready. When i contacted Motosport the immediately refunded my shipping costs and i received my order the following week.

Right back to brand new! Lots of moto's equals more frequent clutch exchanges, no complaints here.

Will this product lessen the tension in my clutch cable because mine is really tight?
MotoSport Staff Expert
3 months 16 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The springs in this kit are actually 10% stiffer than the OEM springs so if you were looking for easier clutch pull this may not be the way to go. I would recommend rebuilding your clutch with OEM components to restore that original clutch pull. Possibly also check your clutch cable to see if it needs to be lubed or replaced. You can find the OEM diagrams for the clutch for your '97 CR250 here: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oem-parts/HONDA/1997/CR250/CLUTCH

I have an 2003 rm 125 and i wanna know if i should go with a performance complete clutch kit or the normal one?
MotoSport Staff
1 year 1 month ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This is completely up to the rider. Depending on the condition of the clutch components, I would lean towards suggesting the complete clutch kit.
If you race or go on slow trail rides where you are slipping the clutch a lot then go for the performance if those don't apply the regular clutch will do just fine.

I've heard that i should pre-soak my frictions and steels in oil is this true and what kind of oil should i use?
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
Yes, your going to want to soak the plates in oil. Normally you would just use the same oil you plan on putting back into your bike. Check you manual for oil recommendations.
Presoak them overnight in the transmission oil and make sure to use the oil you soaked them in and top off if necessary.

Does this clutch fit a 2004 z 400. How does it compare to a stock one whats the difference?
Expert MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: USA
If you look under the "fits these rides" tab you will see which applications this kit will fit. This is comparable to the Stock/OEM clutch plates. the best part is the price.

Aluminum clutch plate or steel clutch plate??
which is the best 1??
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 4 years ago Location: USA
Steel has always been the norm. Aluminum has been known to pollute the oil faster than steel.

Swaping my cr250 aluminum plates for steel?
just wondering if steel plates will keep my oil cleaner, i have been told to swap the aluminum plates for steel is this good idea?, and would this kit be good to use if so? thanks
Over 4 years ago Location: chattanooga, TN
yes, but you should be changing your oil evry other or every third ride. It's cheap insurance.

Is it any good for a raptor 660?
does it come with gaskets
MotoSport Staff Expert

These are actually a really nice clutch kit, and for the price you can't beat it. Unfortunately these kits do not include the clutch cover gasket, those are sold separately.
