The mudbuster cam is exactly that, I just put one in my 06 suzuki vinson500 talk about waking it up! I race a little at budds creek and do a lot of wheelin in the hills of southwest VA and needed a lot more low to midrange power and man did I get it. I had to change the stock rear axel to a sport one cuz the increase in power and my 28 in. mudwiser tires snapped the stock one. I feel sorry now for anyone beside or behind me in a mudhole or a good hillclimb.

A: Yes this cam can work with a bone stock quad. Depending where you are located and what elevation you are at it may require jetting changes to perform properly. There will be a power increase but it would be more noticeable with additional modifications to compliment it, such as intake and exhaust.

Q: Hello I have a 2002 honda rubicon 500 and I was wondering how many more cc would i get from this camshaft.?
Please give me your best guess and don't try to lie to me just to sell your product! Also I'm trying to compete with a Suzuki kingQuad 750 what should I get to product close to the same power as the kingQuad 750.

A: The cam shaft will not modify the CC rating of the engine. The CC's are related to the bore and stroke of the piston and crankshaft. Without boring or stroking the engine you will not gain CC's. The camshaft modifies the intake and exhaust valve actuation. It modifies how far the valves are open and for what length of time they are open for. The cam shaft will improve power some though. The unfortunate issue is that your 500 Rubicon will not ever be able to compete with the 750 King Quad. The King Quad has too large of a displacement advantage. It would take extensive modification and a cost that with selling your Rubicon you could buy a King Quad. With a camshaft, an exhaust and a jet kit, you can expect some extra power out of the Rubicon but it still wont be near enough to compete with horsepower the 750 has.

i have a 2011 800 xmr will it add much more power then the original stage 1? i want much more power any other suggestions on how to add even more after cam?

A: You will definitely notice a difference in how the engine performs when changing something like the camshaft from the stock specifications. I suggest installing each performance add-on one at a time so you can see how each product has changed the power delivery.
