Product Description

The G1370 compound is the G1375 compound on a diet. It has all the great features of the G1375 compound with the exception of the ceramic coated backing plate. It offers very fast heat recovery for more consistent braking which in turn, gives the rider more "feel". These pads are very easy on rotors since they do not have the same levels of metallics in them like many OEM and after market brands. Looking for that perfect brake pad to do those canyon runs? This is it! Very easy on the discs and great heat recovery.

I had Galfer lines and pads when i got my trackbike. I had to get new lines and i needed to get new pads as well. When you are coming off a straightaway at over 150mph you want to feel confident you are going to have the breakpower to make that turn and with these Galfer products i do. I would definately recommend these pads.

Good pads

Good brake pads. Compound works cold or hot. Very long lasting at the track, compared with other pads I've tried. Easy on the rotors. I ride a 600.

Great so far!

I just put these on about a month ago at the start of the season and so far they are great! There is a huge difference in my front braking power. I can't say how long they will last since I just got them, but so far I am impressed!!!

Nice little upgrade

There was a pretty decent difference in the performance. They seem to wear slower and stop quicker.

I have a 1995 suzuki gsxr 750. its hard for me to find parts because its an older bike would the fit same as oem?

Yes, for your 1995 GSXR750, this pad would fit the stock caliper and be a replacement for the OEM pads. Please make sure to profile your bike correctly so you receive the correct set of pads for your model.

Will these pads cause rotor galling on a stock rotor?

Looks like the 07 came with vented rotors so the chance of galling is lower.

Is there any rotor galling from these pads?
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland, OR
The quality of your rotor has more to do with galling than your pads. In fact, the better the pad the more likely a plain rotor will suffer rotor galling. The best way to prevent rotor scoring is the get a slotted rotor.

Is it ok to run different types of brake pads on rear disc than on the front?
gafler only makes the sintered ceramic pads for the front discs for my 2001 Yamaha FZ1 and carbon semi metallic pads for the rear disc will this cause any braking problems?
Expert MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland, OR
This wouldn't cause any braking issue. 70% of all braking power is in the front brakes.

I ran into the same problem with my bike only made them for the front (06 cbr f4i) so i went with the equivalent (ebc HH) in the rear and have had no problems with it. hope that helps.

Do they make these pads for the rear disc?
i am looking for pads for the rear disc also for my 2001Yamaha FZ1

Galfer does not make these pads for the rear, for your bike, they only make the Carbon semi-metallic pads.

Is the package a "kit" for both sides?

Brake pads are sold with 2 pads. So for a street bike for the front you will need to order 2 sets of pads in order to get a complete set.

Are these the best you can get as far as wear and tear and performance ?

In my opinion, these brake pads deliver a superior level of performance and provide a very solid and progressive feel within just about every application (from commuting to aggressive street/track riding). So to answer your question with respect to Galfer's brake pad line, yes! These pads do an awesome job of delivering great feel and excellent stopping power!
