I've been one these boots for awhile and honestly they are great boots, but they don't provide as much ankle support as I needed. I managed to dislocated a tendon from hyper extending my ankle while my feet were on the pegs. it was a basic mountain trail ride. unfortunately the hinge system was my downfall. going to try tech 10's with ankle saver pegs.

I have read Gaerne brands cater to wide feet but only found feedback on S-10s or S-12s. I took a chance and order the G-Reacts. They, like all brand new boots, felt alittle snug. I wore them around the house a few times before riding and they broke in quick. After 1 ride, I felt fine. The ankle hinge design is great and offers great ankle protection.
I replaced my Alpinestar Tech 3's with these. You can actually walk decent and they are very comfortable. The pivot system works great. IMPORTANT: The size runs one size larger. I ordered 9's and they were a bit large. I picked up some size 10 insoles and they fit in there without being cut down. They fit comfortably with the insoles as they take up some room but if you are looking for a true fit, get a size lower than your shoe size.
I own the red and white pair of these which you cant buy here but the boot itself is awesome. Don't really have to brake it in since it has hinges to help bend which gives an awesome feel. Only thing was the sizing was a little big but nothing crazy just something to get used to coming off the super tight alpinstars. Looks great feels good I love it.
After the sole of my old boots ripped of during an Enduro I went on the hunt for some quality boots. After trying on some Sidi crossfires and some tech 7's, I decided on the Garnes because I was told they were comparable to both. In my opinion these are better than the tech 7's and comparable to the Sidi's but with a much better price. A little snug in the calf with shin guards on but it's not uncomfortable. I have slammed my foot into a couple trees and boulders and the toes have held up for the past 6 months. Also these are able to be sent in for new parts and soles making them a boot that will last me for a couple more seasons of racing enduros.
The pivot system makes them nice to walk in but not for a super log time. The inside rubber makes the bike stick to your legs giving you a great sense of control when in attack position.
I was looking for some new boots, and i found these and they are really great. They are really comfortable and a little on the big side but best boots i have ever bought.
This boot is exelent it looks great and is very protective this boot will fit any bikes look and every thing fits perfect the legs are not to small or any thing like that.
Great boots. They fit perfect and are super comfortable. I love the pivot system.
I just got these boots and they are so skinny that I couldn't even get the the straps to reach the buckles. The foot fit great but they way to skinny in the leg area. I'm only 5'6" and they were quite tall on me. I have a pair of 13 yr old A stars that I like better. they did seam to have a lot of protection. To me to much plastic. I gave them a 2 because the foot fit great but the legs were way to skinny and I found them to be to tall. I'm sending me back, most likely for some A stars.
ive only had these for a few days, and i love them. they are the most comfortable boots i have ever worn, and they are protective too. the pivot system is awesome and doesnt restrict movement. the only thing that i can find wrong about these is the inner part of my right boot is a little chewed up already from my frame/ brake lever, but they aren't meant to look great forever. they do run a little on the big size, so you might want to try some on at your local shop first. overall a great boot and i would definitely recommend them to anyone
