Installed a set on my 2007 Ninja 650. Fit perfect and made a HUGE difference in braking power feel and performance. Why did I wait to do this?

Galfer's standard brake line kits are anything but standard. They start off by using high-quality machined banjo fittings and bolts. Kits are bike specific and are tailored to each bike for perfect fit and finish. Unlike many other manufacturers, Galfer pre-positions their banjo fittings for an out-of-the-box fit. But, if you need to fine-tune them, you can adjust their position.
Most Galfer brake line kits come with labels on the lines to help guide you on which end goes where, something not found with any other manufacturer today. They also offer a lifetime guarantee against any manufacturing defects.
- Instructions for most applications.
- Virgin PTFE.
- 64 lines of steel braid.
- Pre-positioned banjos for easy installation, although adjustable as needed by hand.
- Made in the U.S.A.
- Lifetime warranty.
A little long but it does the trick.
"Kits are bike specific and are tailored to each bike for perfect fit." NOT TRUE. The front lines are made to fit a number of bikes. The line that jumps from the right caliper to the left is about 6 inches too long. This is by no means tailored to my bike and is far from a perfect fit.
Upgrading the brake system on my track bike. Swapped the OEM lines for these. They were a fantastic upgrade. I was able to brake much deeper into turns after feeling them out for a lap or two. Fitment was spot on, they look like what you would expect, and seem to have great quality. They should out last the bike!
Works well, but had a very difficult time building pressure after the install, also looks pretty beat up after only about 5 hours of use, I will replace with OEM on the next one. It gets marked up quickly by the tube it slides though when the front forks compress, and marked up my front number plate a bit. As far as function goes, it works as intended.
The lines I replaced were on a new bike. To stop was not an issue.
These lines allow you to feel yourself stop not just mash on something
like rubber until you see yourself slow and stop. The steel lines give you feedback and help you be a better rider. The pre-fit for my FZ 1 made installation almost too easy. If you like to go fast and do it well, you need these brake lines.
easy install, look grate and better feeling brake response.
I race arenas and need stopping power with the Galfer oversized rotors and lines you have all you need.I have been using breaking in the past both are equal.
high quality brake lines -
Easy installation and good instructions. Can't complain.
i am turning my bike into a supermoto and the fitment is tight with the added headlight however it performs and looks great
These braided SS lines MAY NOT fit your bike like the OEM lines as motosport says.
On my '05 R6 Galfer SS lines fit perfectly. They were great - feel, looks, installation, everything about them was great.
The lines I ordered for my '02 KX250 though, DO NOT FIT like the OEM lines. The bend in the fitting on the caliper end does not allow access to the brake pad pin. You would have to either re-bend the fitting on the line or losen the lines from the caliper to change brake pads. In the first instance, you risk damaging the lines, which i have done. With the second option, you would have to fill and re-bleed the brake fluid everytime you change pads.
Use caution and do a little research by calling Galfer or asking someone here at Motosport for guidance before ordering.
I'm sure on most bikes, the installation of these lines will be no-fuss. Also, I am a true believer in these lines when they do fit.
