Get a Jd kit if you can

Not ideal for most applications unless it's your only option.
Proprietary jets that have to have an adapter, vague directions,
Fit and finish questionable and lacks certain jets that you would expect for a multi stage kit ( specifically pilot jets of any sort).
If it's your only option it WILL work but not like a jd kit at all.

Awesome!!

Installed the stage 2 jet kit when I rebuilt my motor along with a uni filter and a vented airbox. MAN did it make a difference! Would recommend to anyone that's looking for an inexpensive way to add performance to their bike. Just remember when you add more fuel, you need more air!

Never buy an FMF jet kit again

I bought this kit and it does not come with the jets that were needed on my 07 crf450. I had to order factory jets in different sizes because they were not included in the kit. Disappointed.

Nice kit

Great product. Everything needed to rejet after k&n and big gun eco install.Could have used two sets of instructions instead of combining pre and post '06 trx450r in the same instructions. Got a little confusing but nothing a little common sense couldn't take care of.

Clean Power Delivery

Performs exactly as advertised. Aside from accessing the carb pretty simple to install. The instruction were clear an easy to follow. Followed the carb setting from instructions and bike started with just 2 kicks after install. Removed dead spot in throttle and can definitely feel the difference. No bog anywhere. Great an improvement in the bottom end.

Jet Kit

This is a fantastic kit my FMF. It was fairly easy to install myself and the gains in power were felt instantly. The instructions are easy to follow.

Don't waste your money

Directions are difficult to follow, doesn't contain the jets you need. It only calls to replace the needle, and spacers. I spent days trying to get it to work then bought a JDM kit and was running in an hour...

FMF Customer service is a little weak, waited forever to speak with a tech, then his information was like he was reading from a book. Called back and actually spoke with somone who knew what they were talking about and suggested a fix for the bog I was getting, it worked.

Easy power

installed the jet kit after installing a fmf powercore full exhaust system and K&N filter. it really helped with low and top end power while increasing throttle response and acceleration. directions were fairly easy to understand. they should add more tuning tips in instructions because it is very vague on what to do after installed. with these additions my crf 250 rips!

Useful kit....?

I own a 350 Warrior with a K&N filter, FMF Q4 exhuast w/power bomb header. My quad was ripping so I was hesitant to change the jet. But, FMF recommended to run the kit, so I did. After reading the informative yet slightly complicated trouble shooting and jet selection page. I installed the needle, main jet, and fuel mix adjustment screw which was very easy(installation directions was great). I notice my stock jet is #145, so I install the recommended jet #148, slightly larger. But when I ran it, at mid throttle it bogged and couldn't run great. I was very surprise, so I changed the jet to a larger #150, and it still bogged. I then decided to install the stock jet back in just to see what would happen and it started to ripp again. The needle setting was the only thing that I found useful in the kit. I did compare the needles and the FMF was slighter more tapered. If you are planning to continue your build or mod, this kit would be great because it comes with many jet sizes for your mod needs. The kit does include #146 which is a size in between the stock and recommended #148(didn't work) that i haven't tried yet, but the stock jet runs SUPER, so I'm gonna leave it until I feel like taking out the carb again. Also, I'm gonna get a CDI with higher RPM to see if that would make a difference. But, I will say that with the jet changes.. my quad does redline a little faster, because I do notice that I have to shift 1st and 2nd gear faster, so acceleration did improve. I also can easily wheelie my quad now, low end seems more responseful. That why I'm giving it a 4 star.

Great

Bought for a 05 trx450 that was a basketcase. I installed a new Hot Rods stroker crank and the quad would start making a weird noise as it approached mid throttle and stalled out if you gave it any more gas. This jet kit is very simple and easy to install for anyone that knows their way around a carb and it really bought the engine to life. HOWEVER! i did not feel like the engine was powerful enough compared to my crf450r's but this is also my first quad every so maybe im not use to the weight difference or still need to change the jets a little for the right set up.. Either way, this kit got the quad moving on its own power and im more then happy

Bike runs very poorly

Made the bike run very poorly. I followed the instructions and put in what they recommended... Bike ran very eradically. I changed the settings on the needle jet, the main jet size, the pilot screw turns... same eradic problems, the bike is unrideable.

I made all these changes one at a time, very methodically.

I went back to the stock jets, and the bike rips again!

FMF doesn't even make jets, these are dynojets.

Annoyed.

Wake Up Call.....

I was suffering with the infamous bog that plagued the Honda 250's. With the tips from the great riders from the MXA, and this kit I was able to bring my 06 Honda 250 to life.

Save your money!

I have a 2008 TRX450R and bought the kit thinking it would be a good set of jets. The biggest main in the kit was a 132. Stock jet on the 450R is a 122. If you're looking to get a little more out of your stock airbox, filter, and exhaust it would be a good kit, but with any aftermarket exhaust you'll need about a 165. I would recommend saving your money and going with the HRC kit...you won't be disappointed! Overall the only use I was able to get out of this product was a D-shaped tool for the fuel screw and a better needle.

If a jet kit is needed, would yours suit my needs ?

A: Normally when installing a slip-on only minor jetting changes are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. Jetting can be very tricky, there isn't one setting that will work everywhere with every bike. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary.

A: There is not a specific setting I could give you for jetting your bike. It would really depend on your location (altitude/temperature) and how your bike is running with the current jetting. Jetting can be very tricky, there isn't one setting that will work everywhere with every bike. I would recommend taking your bike to a local motorcycle dealership’s service department to have your bike properly jetted.

A: Unfortunately, The FMF Power Up Jet kit is not available for the 2002 Honda XR400R. We do offer replacement OEM jets for your bike in various sizes. Q: Just need a little advise. THANKS?
2 years 7 months ago
My wife and I have two completely stock 2005 Honda TRX450R quads that are kick start. I recently put on the Powercore 4 FMF pipes on them. I ride at Pismo beach which is sea level. I saw this FMF Power Up Jet Kit and it looks like what I need. Do I need to buy two of these or does the kit contain enough parts to do 2? Can you point me in the right direction please. Also since the quads are older do you have rebuild kits for the carburetors that I can purchase since I am already into the carbs. Thanks, A.J.

A: You will need to purchase one jet kit per bike, so you would need 2 jet kits total to do both bike. I would recommend taking a look at the Moose Carburetor Repair kit as well if you were looking to rebuild the carburetors completely.
