I have had both hands injured on active duty numerous times. These bars are nothing more than suspension for your hands. If I am riding motocross and its pretty smooth I use the soft elastomers to prevent basically all arm pump, then when I ride trails I change to the yellow for the wash outs, rocks, and so on. By far the best investment you can make when it comes to controls. And there is an abundance of room to mount everything with out the bend of normal bars. Just google what the bend/rise/and width is on the bars you have if its comfortable and compare to the chart.

Second set for my two trx 450's, Great bars, great ride.
I Had Wrist surgery 2- years ago and recently it started bothering me a gain. Ive always see these bars but the price was keeping me from buying them. At first it feels funny that the bars are moving so much. Just ride the bike and you stop noticing it after a bit. After riding at the track 3 times the pain in the wrist was much less. But i didn't notice the "no arm pump" in fact i think it was more, but i might be holding on tighter its just getting use to the bars moving. I think it was worth the money.
BTY you don't have to get the special hand guards to mount on.
This was hands down the best thing I have added to my YFZ, I wouldnt trade it for anything! I recommend them to everyone!!!
I love them, I race moto and cross county and they help out my arms. The other thing that is nice is they are a little taller than stock bars and that is great for a tall guy like me.
I am 43 years old. I broke my scaphoid, right wrist, about two years ago. It took about a year and a half for it to heal enough for me to try riding again. I only went a couple times in several months because riding set back how my wrist felt substantially. I hesitated for months buying these bars but finally i thought, no matter how many times i read how great they are, the only way i'll know if they make riding possible again for me, is to try them for myself. So, how did they work for me and my fragile wrist? I've been riding 3 times in the last 4 weeks, with no pain at all. Not while i ride, not later that nite, not the next day. The second time i went to the track with these bars, i rode my sons bike, just to see if the flex bars really were that good. when we pulled back to the truck, i could not believe how harsh his bars were and he could not believe how much better my flex bars felt compared to his. And he is a teenager with healthy wrists! I can ride now as hard as i want and none of the harshness that used to upset my wrist is present anymore. I know everyone has different injuries and heals differently, but for me, these bars made riding possible, and enjoyable again.
These bars are the single best purchase I have ever made!! They are expensive but they are cheaper than the medical bills for two broken arms. I over shot a triple and completely flat landed the bike. The bars flexed so much that they actually broke and I crashed. I know that If I would have not had these bars, I would have two broken arms right now. There is not one bad thing to say about these bars. I strongly recommend these bars for every rider. They do not come with a cross bar pad. You will have to order that seperate for 15$.
These bars are amazing. What a difference in any type of riding. I race an rec ride and they help out. Especially when airing a big jump, makes the landings feel like butter. Little spendy but absolutely worth the money. Super easy to install.
used to ride my raptor in the dunes with other guys bars and suffered miserably! bought these with pro taper riser and viola - no more arm pump. i would buy these for a pit bike! do your arms a favor and purchase these. You won't be sorry!
In racing XC you take a beating and these bars definitely help take some fo that away. I've always had very bad issues wiht "arm pump" and with these bars it's very much reduced. Both of my 450R's have them.
I have used these bars for at least six years. I have had no issues with these bars at all, they are very durable. I had purchased them after having severe pain in my wrist from riding rock run enduros, my wrist would hurt so bad after a rock run that I would plunge booth my hands in a ice chest full of water and ice. That is no longer the case. The movement in the bars is not even noticed when you are ridding. I use the yellow durometers. The only negative is their weight , they are a little heavy when compared to regular bars. The price is a little steep too, but they are worth it. So if you have any issues with your wrist, hands or shoulders I highly recommend these bars to keep you ridding.
Flex bars are a great investment for any rider. The bars do exactly what they are named for, FLEX, the bushing design really takes the harsh vibrations and bumps out of riding. Reduces arm pump significantly.
These bars helped reduce arm pump at the track and trails. I installed them on my YZ250 10 months ago and have been loving them ever since. I use the yellow rubber spacer (softest). Although the only thing to reduce arm pump is getting more seat time, I highly recommend these bars. They're perfect and made my bike more comfortable. Good investment.
They are a lot more expensive than any other bar out there. But I felt it is definitely money well spent. I got these bars and then didn't get to ride for a month. I got back on the track and was a little rusty and came up short casing jumps or overshot the landing a bit for the first couple of laps. Normally a fairly uncomfortable or painful experience. There was a very noticeable reduction in shock from the hard impacts. Also, these have less sweep and sit a little higher than the stock bend I had and felt more comfortable. They are a little heavier than other bars but they make up for it with performance. You wont feel the weight difference while riding.
I bought the flexx bars and they are amazing. They help with reduced vibrations, arm-pump, etc. Im writing this review with one hand right now because 4 days ago at a state race I overshot a jump completely and snapped my left wrist. The bars most likely saved my right wrist and the only reason why i mightve broken my left wrist is because a steering stem bolt came loose which shifted all of my body weight to the left. Heres pictures of the jump so you can get an idea of how hard i flat landed. Keep in mind I had on the blue elastomers (soft)
Flexx Bars are a must buy, they WILL help you.
These bars are the best out there...period! Although a little pricey they are worth it for the added comfort and adjustability that just can't be obtained by the typical bar. If they have a downside I guess it would be that they require maintinance that other bars don't. Also, I noticed the nuts that hold the elastomers in place trying to back off but I added a second nut on each side and have been worry free since.
they work very well. helps with rider fatigue. hold up very well in the last two months i have went through two steering stems one stock stem and one lsr stem. the bars are perfectly fine havent bent the slightest.
A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT WELL WORTH IT! SO GOOD THAT I REMOVED MY SCOTTS DAMPER!
best bars for your buck hands down ride all day
Must have for any rider. Very effective at reducing vibrations and shock from hard landings, breaking bumps, rocks, ruts you name it they help. You can change bushings and adjust rise to better suit your needs. They look amazing on any quad or bike. Very strong and worth every penny!!! You can also order colored cross bars and pads from FASST CO.
