The latest Aramid fiber-lined clutches from EBC for sportbikes and racers. Street Racer Clutch Kits are matched and measured to provide the perfect rebuild and come complete with 15% uprated heavy-duty clutch springs.

  • Friction plates are lined with an Aramid fiber-impregnated lining that grips better and lasts longer than standard cork based plates.
  • Ideal for heavy sportbikes, faster riders and production-based race use.
  • Longer life and higher heat resistance.
  • This clutch has a more aggressive / faster take up than the CK cork series.

EBC clutch plates contain Aramid fibers, these are man-made high performance fibers, used widely for their light weight, high strength, abrasion resistance and thermal stability. They are used as reinforcements in ballistic protection (bullet-proof helmets and vests, vehicle armor), cut-resistant gloves, aircraft and marine structural parts, power transmission belts and of course friction products where their high strength to weight, thermal stability and abrasion resistance provide advantages over cheaper steel fiber based products.

Great fitment

Fit's just like O.E. and the upgraded springs make it just a little more aggressive, not so much that it effects the pressure it takes to release a great deal. No chatter and good grip.

The EBC Street Racer Clutch Kit for your 2001 Kawasaki ZX6R would have 9 friction and 8 steel. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

We do not have a 1989 Suzuki GSX600F bike on our website since that is not a US model. You will need to see if your clutch parts interchange with a US model of bike that you can profile on our website.

I'm lost because the question above, how do I know what kit I need?
I have a zx750 P5, the clutch slips on hard exceleration. It slips between 4-7000 RPM, it can be from taking off or passing. I was told by a kawasaki dealer that it could be the springs and/or the clutch, but how do I know if I need a complete kit or just the clutch and springs? Why would you need the other plates? I wanted to get this kit but not sure why the other kits have more parts.

I would recommend replacing the friction and steel plates along with the springs. It sounds like your bike is ready for a new kit. You might be able to get by with just replacing just the springs and friction plates, but if you haven't replaced the steel plates in a while you are better off doing everything all at once.

I have an 05 R6 & my clutch is slipping after 25K miles. Will this kit be all I'll need when it comes down to changing my clutch out?

This kit actually only includes the Kevlar fibre-lined plate set, and heavy duty clutch springs, it does not include the steel plate set.

I would recommend looking into EBC's SRK Complete Clutch Rebuild Kit, it will include all the fiction plates, steel plates and springs required to rebuild your clutch.
