Geomax MX51 helps deliver enhanced grip, added tread longevity and a wider range of terrain applications, reaching farther into hard-pack conditions.

  • Profile design provides more tread volume (greater land / sea ratio) in the shoulders for excellent cornering grip and a more open center-tread area for straight-line grip.
  • Recessed biting edges in shoulder tread blocks yield enhanced traction for greater grip in corners and ruts throughout a wide range of terrain conditions.
  • Tie-bar design connects and reinforces the tread blocks for greater tread stiffness, yielding improved intermediate-to-hard terrain performance.
  • Recessed design in the area between tread blocks gives the tire improved compliance for enhanced ride comfort.
  • Knobs are placed in a unique "cross-stitch" shoulder-block distribution for enhanced traction and grip in intermediate-to-hard riding conditions.
  • Larger-radius tread block base for strength and enhanced tread longevity.

Its an MX51 what do you expect?

I love this tire. Its prob the most versitile tire on the market. It hooks up well in the sand, it is insane on loamy intermediate dirt and stands up good to hard rough and abrasive surfaces. The only knock I have is its a little more expensive on motosport. About $10 more than the local power sports shop I usually use. Dont thunk I will ever use any other tire.

Great, grippy tire

I have used the MX51 on my YZ450F for some time now and it continues to deliver great traction and life. I tried the Bridgestone medium tire (400 series) and the grip is no where near where the Dunlop is. I ride tracks and desert and do some racing and these tires last a good amount of time. This is the only tire that holds the grip better on the bigger bikes. The only tire I will use, personally. You won't be disappointed!

Dunlop MX51 Rear Tire

These tires are the very good in all conditions. IE. Sand, Mud, Rocks, I have traction everywhere. They will only last about one season but they are worth the cost.

Does this tire have the yellow dunlop logo printed on the tire wall?
Expert MotoSport Staff
3 months 7 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
No, These tires would come with black lettering on the sidewall. The Yellow dunlop logos that you often see on the sides of tires is actually applied using a yellow tire paint pen.

I have a honda cr125 the back wheel is a 100/100-18 and I have this new tire that is 110/80-19 59m will the new tire fit that rim ??
MotoSport Staff
Over 7 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Unfortunately the 110/80-19 tire will not fit your bike as it is designed for an 19" rim and your bike has a 18" rim. The last number of the tire sizing designates the rim size. Your bike absolutely requires an 18" tire, no other size will fit.
