Poorly Designed

I purchased this for my bike because i needed a new hub, and it was much cheaper than oem. I'm finding that after every ride, the spokes are loose no matter how meticulously I maintain them and tighten them. The black coating looks cool until you start changing the tires, and then it begins to flake right off. I wouldn't recommend buying this wheel, it's still expensive and when paying $300+ you should get what you pay for.

Lookin Good

After I blew out my hub on my bike I needed a replacement and as it turns out it was cheaper to buy this flashy wheel and strung up then to buy a new hub and have the shop swap that out onto the old wheel. This buy was a no brainer and very happy to see all of the spokes were at proper torque and the wheel is much lighter than OEM. Will be getting it dirty for the first time in Ocotillo so if I have any issues i'll update this. Otherwise assume a flawless trip on this fantastic buy.

Rim is splitting

I have owned the dna rear wheel combo for sixteen days. I ride and race desert with typical low end expert skills in sthn. nv. As I started in on the first tire change, I saw a split on one side of the rim. After scrutinizing the evidence, I saw a small dent in the rim adjacent to the split, again a very small dent. My conclusion was the rim alloy most likely was a tad too soft. I am still hoping that the hub isn't junk.

Can i customize this rim?

The DNA Rims we sell would only come with silver spokes and spoke nipples. These wheels are pre assembled when we receive them and unfortunately we do not have any way to customize them. The custom wheel sets can be ordered directly from DNA, here is a link to help get you there: http://www.dnamxwheels.com/

Any idea what spoke/nipple combo works with this DNA rear wheel?
It has a pretty narrow hole for the nipple to go through. I know some nipples have more girth than others so I was hoping you guys could shed some of your expertise! Thanks!

Yes, the wheel that fits the 07-12 model is the same as the 2013 model. This goes for front and rear.
