Love these. Put them on last weekend and smashed a tree. Held up good. No damage to my levers and more important no damage to my hands. I paired them up with the threaded bar inserts to get them good and tight on the end of the bar.
Replaced my bars to 1 1/8. these were immediately purchased.
no brainer. these hold up great placing trees in the woods!
Cycra products are fricking rad
I use these on all of my bikes, wouldn't want to ride without them!!
Had them on all my bikes they take a lot of abuse and hold up very well!
I was so happy with my last set of Probends, I had to purchase another for my new KTM 350excf! They are made for extreme use and will hold up over numerous crashes. These are a must have for hard core enduro's, hill climbs and desert rides. Save your levers, throttle and controls with Cycra handguards. I chose the natural white and they look pretty cool on my orange bike! Get them before you crash, you'll be happy you did!
Overall these are really nice. Much better construction than the $30.00 Chineese ones off Ebay. With any hand guard you have to do a little finaggling to get them in the right position. I really don't see why they are expensive though but hopefully I will if they last.
Install was simple. Only negative comment I'll make is that when mounting the right hand guard I ended up adding a bushing along with the one provided, and a longer bolt. It was difficult mounting around the brake reservoir. Other than that, I think it's a great product.
They fit perfectly easy to install
These hand guards will save your hands, levers, bars. Ive been running these for 6 years. Cycra always delivers with quality. These guards are super durable. Mounting is easy, straightforward and very strong. I rode with my stock levers for 4 years on my old 250f because of these pro bends... these are a MUST have for any off road riding.
Bought from dealership, guards themselves are tough. The install was awful... the holes in the wrap around bar to mount the shield are not tapped for the screws, rather the screws are "self tapping." It's difficult to get the screws perfectly straight (since the holes aren't tapped!), and if they aren't, you cant get the screws in all the way. The screws are also a phillips head, alan would have been a better choice, not as easy to strip. Be prepared to use an L shaped phillips tool to torque them in. I'd gladly pay $5 more for tapped holes Cycra...
Love the cycra pro bends, been running these for years with flexx bars and with regular bars. Work great, robust and easy to install. Plastics are cheap and easy to replace too.
The best hand guards money can buy. This is the second pair i have had on a bike.I would not buy any thing else.Very tuff hand guards.
Solid construction easy installation, expensive but seems worth it
No riding yet but they seem like they will last the abuse
Was concerned about having bars cut down but hey fit just fine
Bars are Carmichael bend and cut Down an inch and I had no problems installing these guards, I did use the provided spaced to clear the aftermarket levers
Just mounted these on my 09 WR250F. Quality is top notch and they're made in the USA. My WR has the stock Pro Taper bars with Scott's stabilizer and I had to use the spacers that were provided in the kit.. My front brake cable rubs slightly on the mount bolt from the CRM but the fit was pretty good overall. I phoned Cycra and they said they're working on a new improved mount for my setup soon. Although they are pricey, the quality is worth it.
I ordered the over reach center bar mount for my 2012 rmz with stock rental fatbar. It works, but did not reach as far to center as I expected, therefore the center clamps didn't fit as well as I like but they hold firm..
Overall I won't need to worry about breaking levers or roost to my hands. They look aggressive and I feel like I can engage in some bark busting worry free!,
This product works just fine, but the instructions are really lacking. They could have mentioned you might have to drill out the plastic part of the throttle to make the hole big enough (I hope I didn't damage it. ;-) And made it more obvious which side was up. I ended up installing the bars upside down, but by the time I realized it, I decided it didn't matter!
I installed them on a 2010 Yamaha YZ450F in case anyone is curious.
I read that it would be hard to fit on my 12 WR but it couldn't have been easier with the exception of the stock clutch lever being too long. I cut the ball end off and it works great
