I really like these tires.

I get about 12k out of these tires and a try to to ride my FZ1 hard enough to have to replace both tires at the same time. I've never had the rear slide on me (except in the rain of course) and can feel the front wallow a bit when really worn. The 180/55 really lets the FZ roll over.

Inexpensive but works!

Came on a Friday and I was expecting it on the following Monday! Packaged great. Mounted easily. Only took .5 ounces to balance! Slippery at first(as most new tires are), but eventually came into it, and offered great handling and grip for my 2004 FZ6 in sport touring mode. Only 300 miles so far but cannot see any wear at all!

For the price

For the price you cant go wrong, however Dont expect to get much life or performance out of this tire. I barley got 5k miles out of it and my bike got wobbly in hard turns. Its good if you need a tire for dirt cheap, but remember you get what you pay for. I ride a 1200 bandit and pushed the tire to limits on one of my trips to NY from FL. I ride in the mountains of Ny and i will say again this tire is not great in the hard turns be careful.

Tires

These are great for the price. They hold the road well and ive burned a couple of sets so far. They heat up quick and grip well in the turns.

Definitely a bonus for the price

I ordered these and after a few rides, noticed a small laceration from God knows what. Could it be a defect? It's odd to say the least. I also noticed imperfections in the sidewalls and manufacturing imprints as well as the tire being more of a 180. It doesn't have the same width as my Michelins or Dunlops... Hmmm. Anyhow, contacted Moto and they were awesome in working out some concerns! Going to gamble on these tires because they do grip for a budget tire. Need I say budget again? Considering I commute mainly on an RC, I hope to get some high mileage out of them. So far after break in, I have pretty good confidence that I didn't have in some outdated Dunlops, so the rest is yet to be determined... let you know in 1000 miles!!!

Continental motion rear tire-180/55zr17

Immediate improvement in handling. Ok, so the Conti is replacing a VERY worn Dunlop Q2, I felt comfortable enough on the Motion to get my "chicken strips" to less than 3/8" on my first ride. May not be as sporting as the Q2's but may last longer. Only 313 mi. as of now, will update durability when appropriate.

1/2 the price of the premiums, not half the ride!

I have mounted 3 sets of these. Prior mounts were Perilli Angels (great), Roadsmarts (okay) and now these. They are half the price and ride just as well. I do long tours 2500+ miles. They do great. We ride the twisties aggressively and these do as well as previously mentioned tires. Wear was a little less then the Angels, however not enough to make me care. Wet grip is not the most stellar. I spun them up a few times in some good rain, but that would be the only issue I have had. In summary. Great tire, will wear faster than premium tires, but the ride is great and the wear not so detrimental that I won't but them again.

Amazing!!

got the tire fast and it feels great. i feel as onfident on this as i did on the stock battlax 016. leaned over hard, going through sand and gravel(i live in montana). the bike feels like it wants to lean over farther in every turn. might have to do with the profile of the tire. cant wait to take it through some crazy twisties. only reason for a 4 is that i have only riddent hem for about 100 miles so dont know about the wear. if its as good as all the other reviews then i should be giving these a 5.

What is the speed rating?
How fast is this tire rated for
MotoSport Staff
Over 10 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This is a Z rated tire, it is good for speeds of 149 MPH +. With the way tire speed ratings work, when this system was established they never thought they would need a higher rating than a Z rate. With modern bikes and faster speeds the highest rated tires will be W, which are 168 mph rated tires.
