ContiMotion Front seems like a decent Budget Tire!

I ride every day, and go through 2 to 3 sets of tires a Year, and decided to try this one, First impressions this tire is very well balanced, No mounting balance mark on the tire for install, and I removed all but stock balance weights from rim, no balance problems from 0-130 MPH max speed on my 2000 SV650 mostly stock, I have a Pirelli Diablo SuperCoursa on the rear, there is no comparison for warm up time though the Conti doesn't seem to come close to being warm enough or sticky at speed in a few minutes when the Pirelli is ready for rubbing your shoulder on the ground...though I'm waiting to see how many miles I get, more important at this time. Seems like a good budget front tire so far, and stopping is confident even when wet, Thanks Conti!!! Ride Safe!!! PS: Worked marketing research for over 7 Years the "Style" rating for a tire cracks me up. Seriously if you look for style in a motorcycle tire you need help, a tire MUST perform, I think "Value" in this case would be a more helpful rating...Just see someone saying, Oh! everyone said the tire is terrible and a rip, but it looks really super cool, so I bought it!!! So then "Style" gets a (1) One Because I don't care about style in a tire, just performance for my money.

Decent budget tires

I bought these for my 98 Super Hawk. The tires work fairly well but the rear is at 4000 miles and down to the wear bars. I don't wheelie or do burnouts but I do commute about 40 miles a day.

They're decent in the rain (although I avoid it whenever possible). One thing I noticed is the rear breaks loose a lot. Not on acceleration but on decel/down shifting I'll feel it skip or slide more than I've noticed with other tires. This is the first set of tires I've put on this bike since buying it.

I used to run Maxxis Sportmaxx on my old TLR and loved them.

Conti Motion tire combo

I ride a 2006 Yamaha FZ-6 equiped with Givi hard saddle bags and the bike is typically moderately loaded. My riding is most often solo mixed commuting/sport touring with the occasional two-up ride. I accelerate and brake in the moderate to hard range. In the past I have run Michelin Pilot Road 3's on this bike and have been very impressed with the performance of these Conti Motion tires in comparrison, especially considering the price point. Approximately 9,000 miles in less than a year and I could squeeze 10,000 with out being worried about performance/grip. I am ordering a replacement set today.

After about 500 miles these tires hold the road very well. I will definitely be interested in another set when the time comes. I thought they would be bad because of the price, I ride a gsxr 600 and I ride hard. I use the hole tire in turns, these tires do very well. Would buy them again. Gsxr 600 20th anniversary edition.

The tire that works

The continental tire that I purchased is the all around tire for the street. If you decide to ride curves or just straight-aways the tire performs great, wet or dry.

Very good tire for very good price

This is the second time that I have purchased this tired. It works wonders on my cbr1000f. I highly recommend this tire for all sorts of riding due to the fact that the rubber is not just hard or soft. It's in the middle. The tire handles well in the turns and does not lose any on acceleration.

Best tires ive seen

I haven't got to ride on them yet due to a clutch issue with my bike but by what I can see in the tires and videos these couldn't be a better buy. Will be buying these again.

Does what budget tires should

Was in a pinch so I picked up a set of these a few weeks ago for my 1998 VFR800. I ususally run the shinko 009s. Continentals turn in pretty quick and fall right into turns. Not quite as nice as some of the higher end tires probably, but I'm not racing GP I'm commuting to work and weekend ripping.

If you want a tire that's gonna last but also hold you to the road this is it. It's not for people trying to moto GP threw some curves. I got 4500 miles out of my last one. That's why I returned to this tire.

Look good on the bike

They look nice but idk if they still need broke in but i never had a rear tire brake loose so much i think they would last awhile cause the rubber seems to be harder. In my opinion these are budget tires for average riders i bought these cause i am selling my bike and needed new tires. Dunlop Q3 is what i had last and they where awesome.

Contimotion

This is a cheap set of tires. These are good for an inexperienced rider with very limited skills. They are better than riding on cords. If you plan to use these for sport riding you need to know that these will not last long. I get around 800 -1000 miles of mountain riding compared to 1400-1800 on every other set of tires.
For the money you spend on these and the short life span on them, it is a better bargain to buy a tire which cost a little more and lasts thousands of miles longer doing normal commuter riding...

Great Value with good performance

Just installed these tires. Traction is great on the dry surfaces I have ridden. Tire has good cornering stability and sidewalls feel pretty sturdy.

I have a Harley Davidson Ultra CVO that has custom wheels on it. I like the 190 / 50 ZR 17 for height and grip, but the Michelin and the avon don't seem to hold up very well

Q: MILEAGE?
1 year 2 months ago
I have a 2014 concours 14 ABS. I will be making 9000+ mile ride starting June 24. About 450 miles a day. Under normal riding conditions what kind of milage do you think this tire may get? Any comments on other tires for this ride? Would like to make the ride on 1 set of tires. Thanks Lee

A: Tire wear varies so greatly I am unable to provide a number of miles for you. There are a lot of factors that can play a part in tire wear, starting with what bike they are going on, if kept at proper tire pressure, road conditions of where you ride and riding style. For the most information I would look at a forum that is specific to your bike model, and see what kind of miles guys are getting out of these.

A: On my 2011 Honda CBR600RR with recommended tire pressure and balance beads, on average road conditions in the state of VA, i got around 2900 miles for the set. The front tired did wear a little uneven towards end of life.

A: We do not have a list of tire sizes that will fit fit each bike. For clearance and handling reasons the stock size tires are recommended. I would suggest searching the forums for someone who possibly has a show bike who has fit larger tires on their own 2014 kawasaki ninja 300.
