In 1991, Pro Taper introduced the 1-1/8-inch Taperwall handlebar and the industry hasn't been the same since. The Corona, CA based company expanded its product line to include clutches, sprockets and grips, among others, but Pro Taper never turned its back on what landed them in the motocross world.

The Pro Taper Contour Handlebar - Oversized is a best seller and made with the same quality as its Standard 7/8-inch Pro Taper brother, it's just, well, oversized! Best bars out there!
Ever since I switched over to Pro Taper its been really hard for me to look at anything else. I'm a C rider and as I get better I have a tendancy to have bigger crashes. No bent bars yet. I replaced them recently so I could have a taller bend. Infact the mounting bolts will bend before the bars do... I'll promote these bars to anyone.

I have never actually bent a pair of Pro Tapers, i just bought my most recent pair to try a different size. I just got the Windham bend and it fits me perfect. Im 6 foot tall and they are a little bit taller than the stock bend.

Perfect for freestyle!
The high bend of these bars really adds some height some the handlebars and makes it easier to stand up straighter when taking off from jumps. For ATV freestyle I highly recommend.

the bars at question are not standard 7/8 bars those would be the protaper se bar. and as far as bends go that we really cant say due to it varies so much between people, everyone likes something different.

I am looking at getting handguards for my bike, what diameter are the cr high's? and what hand guards would you reccomend?

The Cr high handle bar has a mount diameter of 1 1/8" but where the controls clamp on thats a 7/8" diameter. You can run the cycra stealth hand guards they look amazing just make sure you get the plastic mount kit so they dont bend.

it all depends on how you ride,i like the taller bars since im on a yz125 and crf 250 and for the littler bikes like the 85 i recommend finding a bar that fits yourself comfortably

Unfortunately we do not have the dimensions of the stock bars to compare to the ATV bends. I'd suggest measuring the rise and pull back of the stock bars and order the closest bend in these handlebars.

no the Contour bars do not have a cross bar but they do come with a pad. the Pro Taper SE bars do have the cross bar but they are a standard 7/8" bar.
