The guys at Cycra will never be content to simply replicate a stock plastic part; they simply won't produce something unless it is lighter, more affordable, stronger than stock or better performing. In the case of the Powerflow Intake Radiator Shrouds, they have a distinct performance-enhancing design, as the injection-molded shrouds have specially designed air scoops that are claimed to reduce operating temperatures by six degrees.
As all of Cycra's plastic does, the Powerflow Intake Radiator Shrouds bolt on perfectly. Our biggest gripe about the stock Yamaha YZF shrouds is that they are too short, and our boots tend to get hung up on the tops of them in corners that require aggressive body English. The Yamaha versions of the Powerflow shrouds feature a small extension at the top of the shroud, and although it is still possible to get hung up on them, the chances are greatly reduced. We weren't actually able to detect a drop in operating temperatures, but who are we to argue? One thing is for sure: the extra plastic in the scoop area helps strengthen the integrity of the shroud itself. We know-we crash test everything!
Aftermarket graphics will not fit perfectly and need to be trimmed slightly.
