Frustrating

First off this pipe was terrible too install, the header and the pipe never matched up right so I ended up having to do some welding, also the spark arrestor doesn't come assembled from the factory, meaning you have to put the cap and spark arrestor on yourself. Well that's all fine and dandy, but my pipes 3 holes for the end app were both tapped wrong. So I had to RE- tap the holes. After a year of having this pipe (when I am writing this review) the weld on the pipe that connects the pipe to the mounting bracket started to crack and eventually cracked completely. It's a excellent pipe for a temporary install, but please save your money and buy a full system, it will be best in the long run.

Bought this Big Gun ECO Exhaust for a 2015 RMZ450 .
Bolts right up with no problems
Was instructed by BIG GUNS Tech support to add a Bead of high temp silicone to ensure a tight air free seal at the mid-pipe to Header joint .
IT is noticeably louder then stock and Sounds great!!

Big Gun Eco System Slip-On Exhaust for RZR 800

I purchased for a 2013 RZR800S LE. Fit and finish are perfect once I got a new oem exhaust gasket. Sounds great, looks even better. Be sure to order a new oem exhaust gasket. Takes a little finesse to get on but makes the system fit. Almost impossible to get old gasket off without destroying it. Also I recommend getting a spring puller, makes the install easier without having to take apart the entire rear of the RZR.

Do I need to rejet after installing this on my 400ex?
MotoSport Staff Expert
MotoSportExpert
Normally when installing a slip-on only minor jetting changes are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary.

Generally, most utilize the stock gasket. Refer to Big Gun instructions included with the exhaust.

Normally when installing a slip-on only minor changes to the air/fuel ratio are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently running properly, likely you will not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the machine to see how it is running then decide if you need an purchase an aftermarket EFI tuner .
