Don't be afraid thats its not name brand

I am extremly pleased with this tire. I was skeptical because I had never heard of the brand. I purchased the SE3. I've riden on it once and my friend told me that I was riding harder and faster through the corners than I ever had in the past. This tire sticks in every type of terrain. We rode through wet clay, mudd, hard pack, rocky, and sandy stuff. It didn't falter once. As for installation, it was average. No harder or easier than any other tire I've done before. But I also have a friend help, 4 hands make quick work of a tire change.

Good tire

Good tire for the money, not too hard to mount. Just did a 100 mile desert race and the tire held up great hardly any wear. Can't go wrong with the price.

Good price, super-hard to mount :-(

OK, first the good: the SE3 looks almost identical to a Michelin S12. Aggressive knobs to dig into the soft terrain. The bad: unfortunately, the SE3 is VERY difficult to mount. I think it must run a 1/2" small or something and the sidewall is very stiff. After I got it mounted, I took it up to 35 psi and still can't get the beat to seat. I saw in another review that someone had to take theirs to 100 psi. Not sure I'm comfortable with doing that.

Will not stay on the rim

The only way to get this tire to stay on the rim was to over inflate it. not a very good tire.

I installed the SE3 with the Tubliss System. Handles great!!!!! I only have a little ride time on the SE3 so I rated the durability average. So far it has handled hardpack, slimey goo, and rock very well. Absolutely no signs of knob chunking. But it was the ABSOLUTE hardest tire I've ever mounted. Very stiff and couldn't get the bead to seat. I've read other reviews that said it too over 100psi to seat the bead. With the Tubliss System installed I could only get 60psi in the tire before air leaked out around the rim. I had to stretch and pull the tire with tire tools for two days to get it to seat. Once on the rim and seated it has performed flawlessly so far. Cleans itself from mud, bites on hard pack and has handled rocks very well. Will pay attention to the side wall as mentioned in another review, but I'm running 10psi with the Tubliss and it rocks so far.

ARTRAX SE3

this tire is stiff and slippery at first then loosens up tread wear is very good but the side wall breaks down fast. after 60-90 miles over several months, the tread looks perfect. the sidewall is collapsed to the point it takes 60 psi to hold the bead in place. the tire looks perfect but after repeated try's I went and bought a Maxxis IT and it mounted and seated with a hand pump at 12 psi. so it was not the rim. also I was plagued with four flats all pinch flats on the artrax.
