Description Item #AME000D

A'ME Grips is introducing their New Heated Off-Road Grip. This grip is made in the U.S.A. and features bluPulse 'Adaptive Thermal Regulation' technology. This state-of-the-art technology combines intelligent micro electronics with thermal sensors in each grip, and allows a rider to select between six temperature settings with a simple push of a button. A blue LED indicates both the selected temperature setting and heating status while the micro processor varies the amount of heat generated to maintain the selected temperature. These grips allow for comfortable hand temperatures in all riding conditions, reduce fatigue, and maintain finger dexterity which improves a rider's control of the motorcycle.

A key component with A'ME's new Heated Off-Road Grips is an assortment of interchangeable throttle cable cams that work in conjunction with the right hand throttle sleeve which will allow the grip to fit most all off-road bikes.

The controller buttons deteriorate quickly!

I've had these grips installed on my 2012 Triumph Tiger 800XC since 2012. The original set of controllers had the buttons turn soft and gooey, much like partially-cured silicone sealer. The internal switches take a fairly firm push to activate. They work fine when new, but as the button material softens, it's nearly impossible to push them with gloves on. You must take your glove off, and use a very firm push with the end of your finger.

A'ME warranted my controllers in 2013. The replacement controllers deteriorated within the same time frame. In 2014, though outside the warranty period, they generously warranted them again. They told me that the buttons had improved UV and chemical resistance. It's true, they did last longer, but now in 2016, they have softened enough to make them difficult to push. It really makes it difficult to change heat settings on the fly!

I don't store my bike outdoors, and I have never used any harsh chemicals or solvents on the buttons. The grip performance has been fine, but with the poor material choice on the controllers, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. A'ME, please redesign your controllers!

Amazing grips

I put these grips on my bike last year and have been in love with them ever since. Cold weather, Rain or Light Snow with 6 heat adjustments for temp control you'll always have one that works for your conditions. Originally when I installed I was Leary about wiring them direct to the battery and not going through the key switch and how the sensor worked? Now after using for awhile it turns them off after 20 min or the battery level drops down to about 12.3 volts. The nice part about this is on short stops is when you get back on your bike the grips are still hot.

They are a little pricey till you feel how they work, then there worth every penny

A: These will not work with bark buster style hand guards. You would have to modify the grip ends, but I cannot guarantee any fitment.

A: There is a small indicator line about a quarter of an inch from the end cap.You can cut up to this line without damaging the grips.
