They look good , but unfortunately they are not. At least for me, I can't speak for anyone else.
I used it only 3 time and got blisters every time... Really uncomfortable and painful. Had to get new ones.
Can't really talk about durability...
One other bad thing is the size, they are way to big and are hard to fit under motocross pants.
From my experience, I don't recommend.
This is a great piece of protection equipment, i have taken some pretty nasty falls and should have broken my knee but this brace saved it would recommend this to any one!!!
These thangs are a freakin' piece. They're massive in a bad way. They break, they suck, they made my brother cry 'cuse he owned them, not even me. I'm rating it so poor for all the whining I had to listen to. I'm begging you not to buy them.
Very uncomfortable, do not stay in place. Wont fit under most race pants comfortaby. Bunk gaurds. Sorry but true.
i have had them for 3 years, many hard crashes resulting in many trips to the ER, and they have not broken yet.
I like these knee guards a lot because of the strap above the knee, it makes all the difference. The ones without the strap above the knee work but they rest off your knee instead of on it. The Bionic knee guards are very comfortable because they don't go all the way down your shin but then again you'll want to wear a thick sockor something because it's very possible to get a rock shot to your lower shin. ouch.
Do not stay in place, shins hurt where boot touches product, and the back of my knees were wiped out.
These guards do provide excellent protection however I would question their durability. I took a very minor spill in some sand whoops and take a look at the photo's. They felt great going down but if you have to go through a pair a wreck (and I'd hardly characterize what I did as a wreck), hope you have deep pockets.
This seemed pretty nice at first, given it price of around $70. But there was a patch of velcro that came unsewn from the strap, I'll have to re-sew this myself.
I can see how the knee cup will protect, but overall its kind of bulky and it caused us to not wear it on a recent outing. Because we didn't wear it, a small fall caused knee lacerations and bruising.
It also slips around a bit in use. Probably more of a recreational use knee protector.
I liked the Asterisk Cell knee brace better, despite the increased cost, and ordered an additional pair so that both my wife and I will be protected.
The one thing that i really like about these guards that other guards don't have is that they cover AROUND your knee cap, instead of only OVER it. This really helps to keep from tweaking you knee. They are also extremely durable. My only complaint is that the velcro straps tend to curl at the ends and if you don't have very thick material under it it really cuts into your leg and makes them uncomfortable.
great knee guards, has a great pivot with extra protection under, so there always is a protective plastic layer throughout the range of motion. does not bunch up when standing and doest not slide around when sitting... A++
