BEARING CUPS DISINTEGRATED

After 50 hours I removed the linkage for its second serviceing and found that the bearing cups/bushings had crumbled or cracked. This allowed the edge of the races to deform and crack also. The races were installed to manufacture's depth specs and torque. This problem has been reported in reviews on other sites.

All Balls

The all Balls linkage bearing kit is all inclusive and COMPLETE. Once installed you will think you have a new bike. The suspension will move much easier and smoother. The kit comes with everything you need and is pretty easy to install.

In order to keep the needle bearings from coming apart during installation add a little grease to each one and take your time.

Robust

The bearings looked to of great quality and were straight forward to install with the right tools. Had a few of the pins fall out during install, so use a clean shop towel under the service area, so you can put them back in if necessary.

Needle bearings were already broken

As i was opening the bag to one of the smaller needle bearings i had noticed that they were at an angle inside the cage and i was hoping it was just a illusion but i barely touched one with my finger and it came apart. Then i went through the rest of the bearings and had noticed they were already loose inside the plastic bag they are packaged in. If you are planning on riding within a day or two of replacing your bearings don't rely on all balls stick with OEM.

Very nice product! Great quality parts and fit. I have installed pivot works bearings and these are a little nicer, the dust seals are better for sure. I plan to use these from now on.

Includes everything....

This kit included everything I needed unlike the Pivot Works kit that I had to return since they don't include the spacers in this particular kit. All Balls included the spacers, everything to completely rebuild it.

Sweet shock linkage bearing kit

I'm a rookie. I can only speak for installation - it was a breeze. I haven't ridden yet. I used vice and sockets and a beer(s) to uninstall and install. Both went without a hitch. Probably because I put aside full day for it - no rushing makes for fun and easy installation. Also I did prospect oem but couldn't find 05 anymore so was forced to aftermarket oem.

A: Hi Phil That is a bike hard to find new parts for I'm not positive on the size of the bushing in question however Motosport does not have the option for the bike in a 1985 best place I have found the parts for this bike in question is eBay and http://m.husqvarna-parts.com/husqvarna_parts_home.html

Q: How many bearing needle and where do they go exactly on my quad ?
1 year 9 months ago
I have a trx 450r. I really d'ont understand why does this kit include 4 shafts and 8 bearings. My quad only have one bearing on each side in front (shock absorber to lower a-arm) so that makes 2 bearing, and 2 swing arm pivot bearings. For a total of 4 bearings needles. So why is there 8 bearing needle ? Thank You

Q: Does this kit include all rear wheel bearings/internal parts?

My 125yamaha ttr rear wheel wobbles and I think the bearing cracked. Perhaps a spacer too, but maybe the spacer is fine.

A: No, this kit would be for the Linkage Bearing only. You will want to go with the All Balls Rear Wheel Bearing Kit. The spacers should be fine but if you do need to replace them you can find the spacers in the OEM section.

A: The descriptions says "The All Balls Linkage Bearing Kit contains all of the bearings - including the lower shock bearing kit - needed to repair or refurbish your swingarm shock linkage." So I am assuming that it comes with the lower shock bearing, despite the other answer.

Q: I need to rebuild my suspension linkage?
when i put my bike on a stand i have about 3 inches of play before my shock actually engages in the rear. is this the rear suspension linkage or is it just the swing arm bearings. should i replace both of these?
MotoSportRyanT
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
A: I would say it would be a good idea to rebuild both. From the sound of it with that much play in the rear suspension on your bike I would recommend possibly looking into getting your rear shock rebuilt or recharged with nitrogen as well.
yzrookie
2 years 2 months ago Location: Wisconsin
A: Woah! 3" of play??? I don't think that's shock linkage sounds more like shock oil leaked out and your dry. The head in shock wears out and lets oil leak out and you get a really fun bouncing-bucking ride. Anyhow yes i would definitely replace your shock linkage because I can guarantee if you haven't for awhile or done yearly grease repack that it's going to be a bit rusty in there. Also shock preload may be factor in your play.
