LIKE A GLOVE

This is a direct replacement for my 2004 200EXC chain guide. I had to press the metal bushing out of my old one and push it into the new one before installation.

Installed with a new X-ring chain on my 03CRF450R. Was a tight fit with the chain but broke in after a day of riding.

Working good.....

Some of the reviews I read made this chain guide seem weak. Based on price and time frame (cheap and we race in 5 days) I bought anyway. Worst case: I buy something better after the race and dont look back. Truth is I like the product so far. It has remained reasonably resistant to wear and durable when the chain guide got bent and repositioned. At this point I would buy another. To be fair, I am good about staying on chain maintenance. This may be the difference between the long and short life spans other have experienced with this chain guide.

A: These chain guide black replace the stock block but still retain the stock housing. It is not a complete rear chain guide. The material is not rubber but more of a durable plastic.
MaxT

A: It's all urethane. The idea is to let the chain slide through. Rubber would grab the chain too much and wear out too quickly.
