HMF Swamp xl

Wasn't sure what to really expect with this compared to factory. I can tell you there is no comparison. Went from a good deep idling sound to almost a Harley sound immediately. It's loud but not too loud, and very deep. That's what sounds the best! I have a Sportsman 850 and it sounds like the badest machine in the swamp!

Q: Does this exhaust require any retuning of the efi or any other adjustments?

Also can the factory heat shield be used in the installation? If not, will heat be an issue, especially if a rotopax auxillary fuel pack will be located above it?

A: Normally when installing a slip-on only minor changes to the air/fuel ratio are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently running properly, likely you will not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the machine to see how it is running then decide if you need an purchase an aftermarket EFI tuner .

Q: Does the Swamp Series XL come with the spark arrester already in tact or is that something I need to attach seperately?

A: The spark arrestor is included with the exhaust. If it does not come pre-installed, you must only remove the 4 bolts that hold the end cap on, slip the spark arrestor into the exhaust and re-install the end cap.
Q: Does this add to the performance of my atv?

A: Yes, changing to an aftermarket exhaust like this will increase the performance of your ATV. The stock exhausts are typically restrictive, not allowing the engine it's full potential of power.
