2006 Yamaha r6
I know motion pro is a good company so I purchased the "stock" throttle cable replacements , but after the install I realize I should've actually bought the factory replacement. 1. Each cable was a quarter inch longer than the stock . 2. When I installed them according the curve of throttle grip inserts , the throttle pull was backwards. 3. When installed so the pull direction was right, the cables had to be twisted. 4. When testing the action of the throttle I pulled all the way back to simulate full throttle and the top cable pulled through the housing it's built into and then I was done . Pulled it out and threw it away. BUY FACTORY STUFF!!!!
These cables were a perfect fit at a great price, The service was outstanding, Just as good as the $75.00 set from the dealership.
These cables worked well. They didn't have the knurled lock nuts for adjustment like the old set. They used a normal nut instead.
My stock 2012 RMZ450 cables were starting to not return to neutral position as one of them had some minor resistance in the sleeve even though they still looked new. These replacement cables are of OEM quality but I choose to use my factory dual boot cover for the engine side and cut off the two separate covers that come on these. The install was involved requiring removal of the plastics, tank, and radiator and getting an allen wrench down into the frame with xxl hands wasn't fun but do able. Plan to spend an hour changing these, longer if your cleaning up the twist throttle tube and smoothing out any worn handlebar surface.
My OEM return cable snapped at the track and I ordered this cable once I got home. It's a third of the price of OEM and as far as I can tell works just as good if not better. You can't go wrong with motion pro!
To install the dual push/pull cable, I would recommend to connect it to the carb first and then move up to the handlebars. Otherwise I found it very hard/impossible to get the cable in the carb. So put the ends in the carb FIRST and then SECOND route it up to the handlebars/throttle grip.
Very nice throttle cables, they work nice are and are very reliable.
Overall a good choice the only thing I didn't like was that the cables weren't marked
Quality cable, applied my own lubricating oil, bolts fit into throttle body on 10 RMZ450 perfectly. Now my throttle tube snaps back, feels factory fresh.
The Motion Pro Throttle Cable is a great product. Installation was simple and straight-forward. The fit was perfect and it works great. I would definitely recommend these cables. The throttle works perfect, and is really smooth. Ordering from motosport was simple and painless, and I will definitely be a returning customer. On top of that, shipping is the best in the business.
Fit perfect and works smoother than the stock cable
Got these to replace the stock cables and they work great and were easy to put in
Great cables, real easy to install, and they fit perfect
Awsome cables. fit rite in and didnt have any issues

The cables fit perfectly and are even better than original. Adjustments took seconds and the throttle is very smooth and snaps back fast. Outstanding product. I'll never look elsewhere.
All i have to say is these cables are very well made. Very good craftmanship! They fit perfectly and have a much better feel than stock cables. If your serious about riding spend the extra cash you wont regret it .
