Nice filter

I have twin air and a couple competitors filters. The quality of the twin air filter is noticeable in both materials and shape/fit/form. After trying a few different filters and comparing I will purchase TA from now on. An air filter is not where you necessarily worry about saving money to sacrifice quality.

We use Twin Air filters on all of our bikes, whether they are race or trail bikes. Very durable, and we don't order anything else.

Twin Air Air Filter

The Twin Air Air Filters just last longer than other brands we have used. Other brands seem to come apart at the glue seams after a hand full of cleanings. We do still use No-Toil oil & cleaner on the Twin Air Air Filters.

Twin Air filter

I have used all the other brand foam filters and the Twin Air filter holds up the best. I have never sucked any dirt through my filter and I ride in fine sand occasionally. You can get many more filter cleaning out of a Twin Air filter compared to the others before the filter begins to deteriorate. Its well worth spending a few more dollars on these filters. You get what you pay for.

Good stuff

Ive owned a few brands of filters. Bought one brand and it made it through two washes. So far. All the Twin Airs I have owned have lasted as long as I had ownership of the bike. I use mineral spirits and dawn soap witb great results.

Only filter I'll use

I have been using Twin Air products for years. They fit great, and hold well to all the cleaning required for maintaining a MX bike. I always keep a spare oiled up in a plastic bag ready to go. When I wash the bikes I use the wash box covers to get everything cleaned up, then install the fresh filter so it's ready to go.

installs easy. easy to clean. had others that the glue that holds the different foam around the rim would come apart. this ones seems to bond well with no issues.

Best Air Filter

First of all, Motosport.com gets it right with what they sell, not like Amazon which may list one thing and send you something for a different bike. As for this filter, it cleans up better than any other filter I've used, it feels more durable, and if installed properly you can be sure it will not leak dirt and dust into your engine. I replace my filter after every day of riding.

Best air filter made

The best air filter out there. I have been using Twin Air since 1999 and they work great. They keep the dirt out with high quality air filter oil. They last a long time with the proper care. I would not buy any other. I have used them on three different KTM's, GAS GAS, and HONDA.

Excellent choice

By far a great filter. Performs as intended, use on all my bikes and have been for years. I'm old school and still use old waste gas and soapy water to clean filters. These hold up very well in that abuse. I get about 2 years of rotation between my 2 filters per bike. That is a bunch of use.

Q: Ordered Air Filter for 2010CRF450R, but there's a Rectangular opening at the bottom of the BOX, I need the sponge that covers that, How can i get it?
2 years 2 months ago
the Air Box has a Rectangular opening at the bottom, right where the Tire is, and where i wash A lot. There was some type of sponge filter over that Rectangular opening and it fell apart when Washing it. What was this cover? and How do I order another one? I just ordered the TWIN AIR Filter. but thats just the cover for the intake, The hole in the bottom has no cover now,,,,

A: From the factory the Honda CRF450R there is not a foam at the bottom of the airbox. That most likely has been added from a previous owner or dealership. They airbox is designed to drain out the bottom.

To replace it, you could cut up an old air filter or get some skid plate foam if you want to replace what you have.

A: I would look for this piece of foam the OEM or just buy a bulk package of foam and cut a piece to size. You will also find many good places to use the leftover foam, especially if you have areas on your bike that get packed with mud.

A: The opening on the bottom of the air box is normally left open to allow drainage and larger debris to fall out. I use the Twin Air wash cover that replaces the filter and cage when I wash my bikes.

A: I use the green honda oil. Soak the entire filter and then let it drip dry for 24 hours. Its real messy but it works great. Make sure to get the honda cleaner too. It take the oil and dirt right out when you go to clean it. I have two filters. Stay away from the spray oil!

A: Any of the foam filter oils will work on this Twin air filter. I prefer the spray on foam filter oil.
fast483
2 years ago Location: Thornton
A: There are many manufacturers of foam filter oil. As long as you get the oil that is specified for foam filters, you should be okay. My preference is the Twin Air bio oil or No Toil bio oil. Be advised that you will also need cleaner to remove the oil and clean the filter. These are specific to the types of oil also, either bio or regular. Do not try to use anything other than specific air filter oil cleaner as you will damage and ruin the filter.
