I bought this line for the additional stopping power braided lines offer. I am pleased to say that I did not waste my money. No more spongy front brake. :)

Purchased as part of the Ride Engineering Brake Line Kit. Which I used to convert my 03 KX250 to a CR style front brake routing. This gives both performance and protection gains, really a no brainer. Make sure you pick up a set of CR style fork guards as well.
Does what it says, works great. For the money it would have been nice to see 4 new sealing washers for the banjo bolts. If you don't wish to reuse your old sealing washers, make sure you to order a new set ahead of time.
When stock parts wear out we try to upgrade with best products. Ride Engineering has great products! They look good and perform flawlessly!
I can't vouch for the improved stopping power but if you are replacing a front brake line this is the least expensive option. The OEM hose is $100 +. You'll spend near that for this hose plus the Ride Eng clamp. The Ride Eng hose went on well and has held up over a few weeks of riding. You absolutely must have the Ride Eng hose clamp to use this hose on a 2014 YZF 250/450. The stock clamp is designed for a much larger diameter hose.
I had the original oem break cable on my bike but it was worn out and time for a new one, the oem one was to expensive so I was looking at the metal braded cables. I ordered it, put it on and it has worked great for me and it looks great, awesome product!
This is a one size fits all brake line and it is way to short ... This is not a OEM style fit
I destroyed the OEM brake line. Ride Eng. replacement was quick easy install. No issues whatsoever. And the braided line looks great. A vacuum brake bleeder made it easier but could be done without it as well.
Great look and works great just goes on weird but still great buy
Ride engineering makes excellent products, above that, they have the best customer service support in the industry. After I purchased this brake line, I was having a little trouble getting it to fit, so I called Ride Eng. on a Saturday, and someone answered! From their cell phone to boot! Anyhow, I got my questioned answered and the part fit perfectly. It also works wonders. The bike stops predictably and fast. I cannot say enough about Ride and their customer support. Buy this brake line, you will not be dissapointed.
Good product. Brakes more responsive. Make sure to get clamp as well. Stock clamp doesnt work anymore(routed differently). Will rub on rotor if you dont.
this is big upgrade compared to what i had this is a very nice update if yours breaks. very durable steel braided line its a little nicer than the one that came with my bike which was all plastic. this made my front brake a lot more touchy and there
Not sure of the dealio, but the end fittings leaked at both ends even after I replaced the OEM washers and went a step further with copper washers. Tightening the banjo bolts well past torque specs did not resolve the issue. Can only assume there was a manufacturing problem and returned the item for money back. Major waste of time and effort.
I went back to a new OEM after this and also a Galfer SS line I tried. I couldn't get the line far enough away from the fork tube that it didn't get hit by the upper fork tube when suspension compresses. This tears the outer plastic coating. Same price as OEM essentially, which mounts perfectly.
The stainless steel line gets rid of that "Spongy" feeling with the stock brake line. The fading effect towards the end of a moto is no longer an issue. Braking is consistent and feel is improved greatly. A must for any racer...
I know they made this as a universal cable, but that isn't what I was looking for. It doesn't fit very good, but does work. I can't really tell much of a difference between this one and the stock one.
Bike: 2005 CR250
There could be a little more attention to detail on this product. There are no banjo bolt gasket washers. The directions suggest reusing the old ones, which I did not want to do. The brake line clamp is supposed to be bent to hold the smaller line, which isn't going to happen with the stock extruded aluminum clamp on my bike. The directions say to rotate the hose for alignment by holding the braided line and it will rotate in the crimp, which is almost guaranteed to mess up the line. It actually rotates between the crimped housing and small solid hose, so it would make more sense to grip the crimp housing for alignment. The large diameter plastic guide is secured with zip ties, which isn't hideous, but it's not trick, either. The guide seems harder than stock and therefore makes more rattling noise than stock.
Overall pretty nice once it's mounted, and it was just slightly longer than stock, which restored a little slack I needed with tall bar mounts.
Lever feel was not noticably better. I wonder if those with major improvements had air in the old line or changed to the shorter CR style routing.
Do your bike an asthetic favor and flip for the new banjo bolts, too. I used the stock, dark green bolts and it looks horrible. The brake line is great, however!
