Clutch cable

The cable it self was to long is not for a Honda CR 100 tried to mount many ways ended up using a old 13 mm socket to make a spacer at the adjustment end and with that it works OK

Solid purchase

Sturdy cable, real easy to install, and works great. Clutch is a lot smoother. Second time buying from MotoSport and will do again. Only complaint is shipping price, could be a few dollars cheaper, but the time it takes to get here is crazy quick. Review on cable: 10/10, MotoSport.com 11/10.

Will let you down

Bought and installed two of these cables for my 2006 kx250. When the first broke I chalked it up to a fluke and bought another one. Then the second broke and I'm done with it. The second one was installed 8-2-16 and broke on 9-18-16. Both occurred during Awrcs hare scrambles where I pay money to race.
The first one broke right off the lever by fraying apart and I was able to stop adjust the cable out to keep going and finish. Last Sunday, the second one broke inside the flywheel cover where it attaches to the linkage. The barrel just pulled apart and there was no fixing it, so I limped it to the finish to at least get 1 lap and some points. Bought a parts unlimited cable this time so we will see.
As for motion pro, I thought they made a good product and maybe the rest of it is good. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time with this cable though.

Q: Is my 2004 kx125 clutch cable fitment on the engine side right?
The stock cable has flanged end that sits on top of a rubber grommet. The Motion pro cable does not have this but does appear to have an o-ring that sits in place of the stock rubber grommet. So does the stock rubber grommet get removed? does the cable end sit on top of this grommet? because it doesn't fit inside the stock grommet but when the grommet is removed it seems to loose like theres no seal to keep dirt out of the engine.

Q: Clutch cable is too long?
Hi, I have a 93 YZ250 restoration project. We replaced the clutch cable, complete Wiseco clutch basket, clutch push rod, clutch push lever, and new bearing that sits at the end of the clutch push rod. I just double checked my assembly last night and counted the clutch and friction plates. Still, the clutch cable is too long by about an inch. Any ideas? Jim

Q: How do i replace my clutch cable?

i have a 1998 suzuki rm 125 and the clutch cable just snapped. i see the cable goes in the left side of the motor but the clutch is on the right side. How do i replace the cable?

A: Clutch cable replacement on your 1998 Suzuki RM125 is a fairly simple process. Simply disconnecting the cable at each end, and routing the cable the same way the old cable comes out. I would recommend referring to a service manual.

Q: Does this cable make it easier to pull the clutch in?
1 year 2 months ago
The clutch on my 2008 LTZ400 is super hard to pull in. I can pull in the clutch with 2 fingers with more than decent effort. When I wheelie, I need to have 1 finger on the clutch so i can control the ATVs balance point. The problem is, I can't pull in the clutch with just one finger. So will this cable allow me to do so?

A: Generally the first place I recommend starting when dealing with a stiff clutch pull is lubing or replacing the clutch cable. It is likely this will help with the problem.
