Brand new replacement rotor for the alternator system. O.E.M. rotors from these years are prone to failure and ElectroSport developed a high quality replacement rotor specifically for these models.

  • This rotor uses a modern construction method, has a coil that is tight, wound with fabric covering for protection and fixed in place using modern epoxy resins.
  • Direct replacement for the O.E.M. rotor.
  • Individually tested before packing.
  • The run-out of the copper brush rings is less than the O.E.M. samples tested against.
  • Comes with a full one year warranty.

Q: How is this better than OEM?

You mention it being a high-quality replacement for an OEM device that is prone to failure, so what makes this better than the OEM version? What type of insulation do you use for the windings? I have heard a high-temp polyimide winding insulation is almost a necessity in these to keep them lasting more than a year.

A: Here is what Electrosport had to say.

"Maybe the rotor is bad. Check the resistance of the rotor by measuring between the two copper slip rings. It should be right about 5.3 ohms. If it is, then you probably have a broken regulator, which could be tested by bypassing the regulator circuit."
